$30 Logo Contest - h3n.org - short url

I am ready to start working on my latest project, h3n.org, which you've probably noticed by now will be a short url service. I have not begun working on the design or programming for this project. I am looking to you to design the logo for me and I will design the site based from it

The reason I purchased the domain h3n is because it looks like the word HEN. I would like the logo created around this if possible (although I am open to other ideas too). A hen mascot would be great. The colors are totally up to you.

The prize will be $30 via PayPal to the winner. The contest will run for a week (until March 23rd). If you have any questions, please feel free to post them. I will comment on ALL ENTRIES so you know exactly what I think about your entry.

any special colors requirement or slogan?

Hi there! Here's my try. Feedback is much appreciated.

 

Some really solid entries so far! Here are my comments as I promised. I hope to see more!

m3l1ssh4: no color requirements set because I will be designing the site around your logo. I also have not thought of a slogan
V06-TECH: I like the second one a lot better, but I am not crazy about it. Did you draw that hen?
renderwork: the second from the bottom is my favorite, but I am not sure about the colors.
Lalas111: I like the hen, but I do not like the text or the eggs really. Very creative idea though.
mrEdesign: I like everything but the .org
zyndtel: very nice. I am not really sure what I would like to see changed or revised, but maybe you could offer another perspective? Nice entry.

I've decided I would like to see some colors besides orange and brown. *hint hint*
(although I am not discounting any of the entries listed above. I have my favorite so far )

I drew the hen in Adobe Illustrator, but I'm going to edit it tonight to try and give it some character or expression. And try different color schemes ;]

renderwork, I really like your work, but I am not sure if it's my favorite at the moment. I do appreciate the use of new colors though

 

Yeah. I didnt have a creative enough mind at the moment to be able to create a hen out of nowhere So i used that as a base. But i wont complain, mine did pretty much end up being a replica, but it was MY mouse and pen tool in illustrator that created the one u see in my logo.
Like i said, tonight I will try to revise it to give it more uniquness. thanks
