When somebody has problem with google seo , everybody suggest me "you must have high-quality backlinks" i wonder that what high quality backlink is . What are the criterias of high-quality backlinks in google eyes? or where can i find high quality backlink ? Thank you in advance.
Often only the main page/url has a high PageRank, the sub pages don't and often they have no PR at all. So is there any difference in these two situations: 1. Mainpage/URL has a PR7 Sub page has a PR0, on this page I have a link. 2. Mainpage/URL has a PR0 Sub page has a PR0, on this page I have a link. Does my link in situation 1. qualify as a link from a high PageRank site?
PR is not the only factor in determining the link value. I also look at: Backlinks of the site age of the domain traffic (if any) directory listings # of outgoing links relevance to my site etc.
To get this information you can use a free Firefox plugin called seoquake which will bring up all of that data - pr of the site, age of domain, number of backlinks, etc. Makes it easy to find high quality pages to get a backlink from which are related to your keyword. Dan
Just to echo what the previous posters said - High PR sites. I always tell people that (to me) Google thinks of backlinks like movie reviews. You can read hundreds of reviews from critics online or in newspapers that tell you a movie is good but if a good friend of your's says the movie sucks, then you probably won't it. To me Google thinks of backlinks the same way. You could have thousands from all different sites but you'll see better results if you have a few from high PR sites. Quality over quantity. Just my $0.02 .
For example, you signature links in DP forum is treated as a quality backlinks as the homepage of DP forums is PR6 (high PR). Another quality backlinks refers to relevancy.
i have links on high pr related niche sites ... but still all are not seen in my google backlinks ... my site is having those backlinks long before this last update ...
A quality backlink can be the one that comes from a relevant website and from a page that has a high PR.
I read an article earlier that PR is not only the one you should consider, you should also consider to get backlinks from sites with the same niche as yours.
High quality links, in my opinion, are links from authority sites, and links that have some age. For example if you have a link on www.domainname.com for 2 weeks i doubt that it will be so valuable, however if you have it for 1 year.. it might have different weight.
