I know this has been discussed many times in the past. If you wanted to promote a specific product with, say newegg.com, are you allowed to link directly to that products page? If so, how is that done? I see on the newegg.com link section, it shows a bunch of different buttons and banners and text links, mostly going to generic pages on their site. But I feel like it is more important for affiliates, especially bloggers, when discussing a particular product, to be able to link directly to said product. So is it possible?
Some advertisers (including newegg.com) have a redirect/deeplink url option. It's usually their default home page text link.
OK, for newegg.com do this: My Advertisers (bottom left of front page) > Newegg.com On popup screen, click Text Link On the THIRD page of the Text Links, about half way down, you'll see a link that says: "Custom Link - Deeplinking" Click it, then Get HTML, fill in your destination link, and you're done. It's the same for all the other advertisers, but most of them put their deeplink links on the first page and don't make it so difficult to find.
