Low Google Adsense Earning

    Hello Guys,

I have a Blog (shown in my signature), basically an Entertainment Portal sorta thing. Primarily dealing with Sports Entertainment. The rest of the categories, posts, topics are just fillers.

I am really unhappy with the Google Adsense Earnings for the Amount of traffic Uniqies I get.

I get around 6000 - 10000 Visitors easily everyday. When I look at the Earnings its hardly $6 or $7 for some 60 - 100 Clicks. Damn Irritating. Where has all the money gone for all the Clicks. Why are they so low paying. I show one banner in links containing live streams and the 2 other as you see in the side bar.

Has it got to do something about the design
Has it got to do something about the ad placement.

Are there any Good Pay Per Display/Impression programs that can fetch me good money.

    Regards,
    Hemanth

You cant really improve the CPC since the entertainment is low pa niche,
play around with your ads placement to increase your CTR (1% still consider low).
And get more traffic, that's what you can do

The niche you are in is not very profitable, I think your earnings are ok.

I think jazz up your site with some good wallpapers and you will do fine.

Your earning are roughly the same as mine with same type of blog and traffic. Unfortunately that's the way it goes with celebrity/news niche :(

It's not about traffic, or unique traffic... it's about advertisers willing to spend money and your ability to target niches that offer a good return.

You can't blame Adsense. You have to look at your own skillset and what you have created. Why would an advertiser spend money to be on your blog?

Try Adsense link unit under your site menu.
Many people think that is the menu of your site.

What do you mean do not blame adsense I do. I have a humor site which now i am using adbrite I noticed a lot of image adds are the same adsense was paying about a penny to a nickel and yet at at adbrite those same image adds are a paying anywhere from 10 cents to a quarter and the cpm are not a penny got up to 15 cents. Yes I blame adsense

it sounds good BUT it requires that the visitor clicks twice. If they click on the link units you don' t earn a cent, only if they select some of the results. it has been shown that many just goback or close their windows. I have completely removed the link units from my sites.

My suggestion -- shop for direct advertisers as opposed to using AdSense. I've tried this and it has worked wonders.

Hello, could you give a hint as to how you go about it to scout direct advertisers?

Work seriously on your design and try to specify valuable keywords. You have pretty good traffic by the way!
