anyone know of a php directory / links script with dmoz import? I have looked at them all in hotscripts.com & php.resouceindex.com and found nothing like this. They either are purely dmoz listings or a directory script. Well I am looking for a bit of both, dmoz importing of listings from specific categories and my own. It would need to have a registration system, ability to add links, admin area and ect. I appreciate your help. Maybe you guys are looking for something like this too. If that is the case I will probably have to have something coded up. I would prefer not to. lol Thanks, Juls
lol honey you havent replied to my pm yet.. the link building and seo one.... hey honey where do you think i got the idea from? lol from your cgi version.. i am looking for a free one..
Not quite what you're looking for I suspect but I've just released a free script to compare the links in the host directory against a given page (preset with your target DMOZ pages) and create forms to add to the host directory. Bit of setup so that it knows how the queries and forms should look but nothing major. http://www.weberdev.com/get_example-4119.html I created this with DMOZ in mind but for I list the category against my directory so I have target DMOZ categories that I'll be hitting. Not much use if you need it to detect new categories or a chain of categories. I also wanted to be able to manually verify each link. Sarah
Duncan Carver has a very good script that is free (With links in the footer). If you want to get rid of the links then you'd have to pay. http://www.onlinemarketingtoday.com/software/link-management/
A lot seem to be using wsnlinks - although it only allows partial importing from DMOZ (requires this add on)
It's up now. I will check it out and let you guys know. heh I will have a go at wsnlinks too... thanks guys..
sorry for the double post but just wanted you to know that the Duncan Carver script is great plus it is free. The wsnlinks is payware and the dmoz addon costs an additional fee. Thanks guys... going to test it out now.
Tuning, ya i will once i get it setup. I only just got back and was working on some code for someone else. ;-)
