i have something to sell, and i give someone over the PM samples, and i receive no reply from them, i know that it probably means they are not interested, but polite thing to do would be to tell someone so that he or she can try to sell it to someone else, this is really irritating, and i know that they saw the PM they were online, gheez.
Steady on! When I looked at this reply, there had only been one person that had viewed this thread. Be patient, I am sure there will be more replies.
People aren't in the mood for buying at the moment. Most people here at DP are tight with their cash anyway, but things are even tighter at the moment. Expect lots of low lives to ask for free reviews and not many to stump up the cash!
Just PM them again. I just close my browser so to others it looks like I'm still online til the forum software times me out after x amount of mins. no activity - I'm not that important to be looked out for So it's highly plausible they might have done the above like me - presume it's quite common cos I'm normal
Some people are too lazy to reply if they arent interested. Not everyone on the internet is "polite".
They are not interested, due to a high price or how you do your business ! Change one of these and you will see replies
i know but still, to write a couple of words, "sorry it's not what i'm looking for" if it's hard to write, save it somewhere and just do copy-paste when you receive samples of something you don't like. I know it's stupid from me to complain about this, but i wasn't in good mood today and i needed to shout about something. maybe someone reads this and changes their behavior, that way it wasn't all for nothing, .
I can understand your point but now a days people are always remain busy with their own stuff and thats why they just ignore to reply if they don't like anything in that so no worries and just move on (concentrate on your work). DON.
You are spot on....mate! This attitude of people has really annoyed me as well...First, people request for a service, but when the offer is made and if it does not suit their needs, they should at least show some courtesy to just shoot off a one liner, two words reply like "NO...thanks" or something similar.... It would be just nice for you not to keep the other person waiting.. Regards, RightMan
Don't worry keep sending you will get buyers soon. Adjust you price and service give good discription and hope for good
I thought I'd better furnish you with a better reply than my last one. It's actually all just part of business, sadly so, on the internet. You'll find that often, as much time is taken up, if not more, dealing with timewasters than in actually offering the service itself. It's just all part and parcel of conducting online business, you just need to get used to it, grow a thicker skin, deal curtly, professionally and politely with people and don't waste time getting upset with these kind of circumstances. If your service is good, whatever it is, after a while you'll build up a good user base of people that regularly want to buy from you. As regards payments, always get them up front or an absolute minimum of 50% to show their commitment to the deal. There are a lot of people out there who don't think twice about ordering a service, let you carry out a couple of hours work on their behalf and never pay you. Once that has happened to you once or twice, you learn to put your foot down and not take it anymore. It's always wiser to get the money paid upfront first, even if this does 'hurt' your potential business when you are setting up / out. Use the above tactic especially on forums. Best thing is to get your own website offering the service, whatever it is and from there they have the ability to pay you for the service described before any work commences on their behalf. Hope this advice helps you out.
Some time it happens it is a part and parcel of the business, one must be strong enough to ignore. Best of Luck G-O
Just don't care so much about others, be yourself and improve your product. If its good, eventually people will come to you. :: ads2help
i know, i know, like i said i had a bad day, so i just lost it, it happens to all of us, and yes like you can see from my number of posts and iTrader i didn't deal with transactions that much, this was actually a first sell of this kind for me, i will improve over time and like you said find some regular customers, that's my plan... thanks for such a comprehensive reply. No i never asked a thing from DP, i only complained so that other members see this and maybe, just maybe change their behavior a little bit.
Well, this is frustrating, but refusing a service-because you've learned something that makes you not want it-can be very awkward. Some providers might get offended at an explanation for choosing not to buy...or else lay on a heavy sales pitch. So I can understand if people quietly let their inquiry expire. They won't be doing business with you, so move on. If you are getting this a lot, perhaps it is because your advertising implies a more interesting service than you actually offer. I wouldn't know.
