I just switched to an Amazon store and here are my stats:

Amazon Items: 22, Revenue: $662.14, Referral Fees: $35.31
Third Party Items: 84, Revenue: $3,017.15, Referral Fees: $155.69
Total: 106, Revenue: $3,679.29, Referral Fees: $191.00

Visitors: 30,000 Uniques/Month.
PageViews: 120,000/Month.

 

Oh, cool. I'm planning of making an affiliate site too, but I'm not too sure how to do it properly. What's your website?

Well, this is just a hobby if it was my main source of income I would not share my secret... by the way it keeps going up! Last 7 days average to about $54/day... not bad for starting less than a month ago.

Besides it may start some ideas and I think in a brainstorming session you will get a lot more out than "keeping your silly secret".

Mine goes up and down, it's almost the end of the month... It averages about $30/day... So will probably make close to $1K for the first month.

Yeah the problem with the AOM is the duplicate content (too many people have the same contents). I could've done a whole lot better if I found a niche...

Regarding Hostgator, I also have an account with them and found it to be very good. I infact switched from another host and bought a unlimited hosting account with Hostgator.

 

You should.. I am getting everything setup now to test the method. Will update you guys on my progress later..

 

I want to mention though that my site has been around and is DMOZ listed.
That may be helping it. But it's been years and months after I installed AOM and no traffic or indexed pages. After I placed some PR7 links then the traffic started.

What I'm saying is that the PR7 link itself might not work right away if it is a brand new site with no PR or age.
