A good method would be to do posts and Stumble it with Stumble Upon. This gets a lot of traffic. Also, twitter is good if you add your links to your posts as this gets quite a lot of traffic.
Get good and original content on your site. Do social bookmarking and promote your sites at every possible avenue. Traffic will flow. Also, SEO your site, if possible.
