Just wondering... I know the redemption period for a domain name is 30 days, but is there any way to find out how long a domain name has been in its redemption period? Patty
Right...but when I look up the domain "who is" registry information, all it says is that the name is in the redemption period and doesn't list any other information....like dates or the expiration information. So, I didn't know if there was somewhere else to look to see how long that name was actually in redemption.
http://www.whois.sc have a free domain monitoring service that will send you an email when the status changes. Only thing I noticed was that it was a bit slow to record the change. Ross
Thanks! I finally did find out today that the owner of the name I was looking at renewed it 2 days ago... I only saw the update today even though I was checking every day.
I was searching for the same answer so going by what you said a domain I am looking at getting states Status: REDEMPTIONPERIOD Updated Date: 27-nov-2005 Creation Date: 27-oct-2001 Expiration Date: 27-oct-2005 does this mean I may not get my hands on this domain until December 28+ ?? thanks
No, 30 days in REDEMPTIONPERIOD + 5 days of PENDINGDELETE. If domain is competitive and you dont wanna lost chance should be a good thing backorder it ! (www.snapnames.com or www.pool.com, you will pay $60 if they deliver the domain to you)
I don't understand so your are saying sometime in January? I'm scared of pool.com - I have it in godaddy and snapnames not very competitive I just want it to protect my branding for another site
you should probably use enom also. If you want an $8.95 enom account you can get one at http://dncube.com/ I think they charge $29 a domain if you go direct to them.
Wow, you are bumping a really old thread I was about to ask PattyGale if she is related to Pat Gael, perhaps his wife, but she was seen on July 14th 2006 for the last time
yeah, the page came up in the top spot I was searching google for an answer so.... I figured I might as well ask here instead of making a new thread
