Rates and Ratios

While the AdSense ToS forbid us to disclose numbers, I believe that we are free to discuss ratios (other than CTR and CPM).

I think it would be useful to everyone to know the following things, and I wonder if anyone would like to post their own data.

    Impressions/Pages:
    ---------------------------
By "pages" I mean what a log analyzer such as Webalizer reports for "Pages" in a given time span. I am very concerned that for the last full month, February, my web logs tell me that for one of my sites some several million pages were taken, whereas AdSense reports for that site (which has AdSense on every page) an "impressions" total that is less than 4% of that "pages" number. (And I have in place a "throttler" that seriously slows down things like email harvesters: my ratio of "hits" to "pages for that month was under 1.18.) Is 4% a reasonable ratio of "impressions" to "pages"?

    Mediabot/Pages:
    -----------------------
I find that in February, on a site where it is likely that a large fraction of pages taken were being taken for the first time--an online encyclopedia--the ratio of Mediabot visits to "pages" taken was about 2.5%. What is the experience of others? And how likely is it that the visited "pages" were already mediabot-indexed?

    Inquiring minds want to know . . . .

They used to say you shouldn't record off the radio, but how many people chose to obey that?

I'm sure google wont hunt you down on a forum for mentioning your adsense numbers.
