Adsense For Beginners - Part 1

HI,

I have two years of experience in adsense and gained some knowedge on adsense. I would like to write tips for beginners who are new to the adsense. There is many experts in the forum, please share your thoughts here if I am missing anything. I want to start with very beginning of the adsense with FAQs.

What is adsense?

Adsense is CPC(Cost - Per - Click) program introduced by google in 2003. If you have a website then you will be allowed to register
to the adsense program and install the script in your website. Then it will show the ads related to your website. Adsense has large network of advertisers who are paying money to google for the ads showing on their websites. For example, you have website related to
Health Care, then adsense algorithm will show most related to your website's theme. The criteria is measured based on the many aspects like keywords,etc. I will write that in future posts.

What is Cost - Per - Click(CPC)?

When reader clicks on any of the ads in your website, advertiser pays some money to google. Then google pays portion of that money to you. But, google doesn't reveal how much is that your share. It is upto google to decide the payout.

How to register?

Before registering to adsense, you must have a blog or website with atleast six months old. (From the latest adsense TOS). Then visit the adsense website here and register with your details. It is upto google to decide whether your website matches their policies. It takes probably two working days.

What is Invalid Clicks or Click Bomb?

It is one of the hardest part in the CPC world. When there is good thnigs, always bad people out there. Few publishers tend to click their own ads for making more money. Google treats this very strictly, they have very nice algorithm to find out the click frauds. They will take life time ban if they find the click frauds. If you suspect click fraud, you can report it here

kks krishna do you have any idea about multiple clicks?

 

What do you mean by multiple clicks?
Is it clicking on the same ad multiple times? It is not allowed to that. That becomes invalid clicks. Any click with intention other than from the readers, is against the adsense TOS.
