Hi all, This is my first contest in DP. Hope it will be exciting for everyone I want a logo for our non-profit club. The name of the club is Emirates Endodontic Club (EEC) Emirates is a country (hope you already know it) it is the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Endodontic: is a dental specialty which deals with root canal treatment Club: it means it is like a gathering for people who are interested in this specialty. Condition of the contest: 1-The prize is $150 2-You have to design a logo + letter Head + Business Card. 3-Payment will be by PayPal only, there is no other way of doing it. 4-It is a 3 days contest. 5-The logo should represent the country and the specialty (or you can call it the profession). This is a very important point: We don’t want a very fancy design; we want a clean clear simple but very professional design which reflects the importance of this club. by the way, you can use the intitial (EEC) as part of your design. Anyway It is your imagination guys. The above guideline is just to give you a clue of what we want. Some links which can help you knowing more about UAE and Endodontics About UAE: 1-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Arab_Emirates 2-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai About Endodontics: 1-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endodontics 2-http://www.aae.org/ Hope to see great designs
I assume this logo won't just be used for the web, and thus will be needed in vector format? - Adrian
TheAge, you are completely right, vector format will be the best. fozzilz, Nice try, I feel you have a problem in incorborating the UAE falg in your logo, so may be you can make the name of the club "Emirated Endodontic Club" in the colors of the flag, so giving the feeling that this logo is belong to the UAE. examples of incorporating the the flag colors in the logo: This is a very good example of incorporating UAE feel and the profession feel The other point, if you are thinking of puting that golden sheild (or may be you can call it frame) as part of the logo, so why not to put everything in that frame, instead of making the logo wide and not concetrated in one area. anyway, these are only suggestions for you as you requested, I don't want to limit your imagination. Come on people, where are the other designs
Hi, Here is the design that I have come up with - from this design I would base the design of business cards, letterhead etc. Hope you like it. Feedback appreciated, thanks....
Hi, here's my try. Just wondering, do you prefer an all-text logo or a logo accompanied with an image? Cheers. =)
hi plz let me know where are u placing the logo.. u need for web? and let me know the naam of club in Arabic
I went with the Saker Falcon as it is common in those regions and the Emirates are well known for their appreciation of the falcon which both defines a sense of refinery and strength which are synonymous with the country of the UAE.
Hello, how are you? Here's my entry: As you wished, here's what it contains: • A nice, clean corporate logo. • Bold and Striking • Represents the club perfectly. • Proudly displays the colors of the United Arab Emirates. • Can be adapted to any form of media. • Also works in Black and White. I'm sure you'll take a liking to it. If there's any further work I can do on it to make it even better, be sure to tell me. - Adrian
Very nice to see many new designs, seems it will be exciting. For hs143no: nice start,I liked your color selection. Now as we will use this in website, letter head ..., I am just wondering about the UAE flag. I think the lighting effect of the flag is great if it will be only for website, but we will use it also on buiseness card and letter head, so I prefer to be more plan. Hope you got my point. For jokomamamita I have spent couple of days observing the contest forum, and I am seeing you doing good job. I liked your desing. clean simple and reflect the club and the country. Now the challenge for you in how to incorporate the proffession (or the endodontic) in your design. May be you can put a simi-transparent tooth or endodontic file as a background to the EEC. The other point, is the font of the text "Emirates Endodontic Club" I prefer to change to change it to other font. For designerboy: nice try, but I can't understand the sympole or logo, so can you tell me what it reflects. For Vebtools: I will use it on our website, on our letter head, will use on buiseness cards, on any media (paper or digital) we will use to represent the club. The name is arabic is : جمعية الامارت للمعالجات اللبية For Del Design: Very smart design, you did a good job reading more about the UAE, I liked the idea od the falcon and how you used both EEC and the whole "emirates endodontic club" in one small concetrated area. I like the black color. Now can you show me how you can use the colors in your designs. The other challenge is how to reflect the proffesion or (the speciality) in your design. For TheAge as you expected I liked your entry and I agree with your comment about it. It good that you understand what we want from a logo. I really liked the tooth symbol, very smart and reflect both the profession and the country. I can comment on your use of the text. I feel that you can manage it in a better way. it can be centered below the the symbol but in a better & more proffesional way. you can make it as a circle around the tooth, or .... I don't know, I just feel that it can be manage in a better way. For anjum Shaikh: thanks for participation. you have to take into considration that we are planning to use in a very proffesional way, so you can make your entry more proffesional. -------- thanks all, I have to say it again, my comments just to help you improving your design, again I don't want to limit your imagination or the imagination of the other people who are planning to participate. The other hints: in most of our work we use an instrument called "endodontic file" you can read more about it and may be you might use it in your designs.
Note: been pointed that this tooth cannot be used, so for now this is a place holder, if liked will create a custom one. If you like it i will go on with the card and letter head
bojomojo buddy, seems like we have the same concept running through our minds when we made this.. It took me time to make this so I'm hoping you understand that I'm not ripping you off. The arch text should be in Arabic.. Regards, T
