Hi guys, I got an idea,: extension for fire fox that will return in search results. informations: google- link:, pr, site:, yahoo- link:, site:, linkdomain:. at once so, if one would search for some word info about site would be next to te tilte in search results That would be cool. So you could just fire, firefox, search and see data provided by google and yahoo. How this can be done with google api, (possibly yahoo api to) and how without. (that would be some page loading in background or something else like fetch google result just till links count or page counts and stop, getting the value and showing it in active widnow) Any ideas?
I've considered doing something like this, but I'm put of by Firefox still having a small browser share compared to IE. If more people used Firefox it would make the work worthwhile. Edit: To answer the question, it is possible with or without the API.
I'm a programmer, but I have no experience with Firefox extensions. My advice would be to look at the extension docs, and the source code for similar existing extensions which you can build from.
