    Hey,
I'm selling one of the sites I currently run, TheClubKids.
TheClubKids is a lifestyle website, which at the moment, consists of an active forum. Its users are mainly US/UK/EU teens who enjoy fashion, parties, music and socializing (and boy do they tell us about it!)
I've had almost no time for this forum; exams at college, running other sites etc, which is the reason for selling it on.

The forum has 3200+ members, but I think there is around 150 waiting to be moderated.
    Threads: 1,405, Posts: 46,525

We've never done any promotion, other than the odd bulletin on myspace, and we get around 25+ visit in a day, after months without updates.
During its peak, when we were doing things like competitions, a small radio, new forum skins, the forum went to around 100 online at any time.

    STATS:
    http://www.theclubkids.com/images/stats.jpg
    www.theclubkids.com/images/stats11.jpg

As you can see, during its peak, it got some nice uniques.
I only added adsense for a few days, got a $1, but assume no revenue.

    WHAT YOU GET:
    www.theclubkids.com
    www.theclubkids.co.uk
vBulletin Leased Lisense - Runs out April 22nd but I am willing to either purchase 1 year, or owned. (Which itself is a pretty good deal)
    Databases
    1 Month Support (if needed)

    Starting BID: $50
    BIN: Make me an offer?

Any questions don't hesitate to PM me.
    Regards,
    Patrick

    Everyone and everything is unique.
I set this up for a community rather than profit.

Why is your BIN so low for a site with that many posts?

I assumed that without revenue, thats as high as it should be?
I may increase it if there is any significant interest.
In all honesty, I want to see it sold, so that someone can work on it, rather than it just sitting here with me.

Are you the original owner of the site?

I see that .com domain directs to the co.uk. Has it always been this way?
The .com domain seems to have a Google PR of 0 while .co.uk is unknown. Is there some reason to that you know of?

How are you related to the bbycks.com website?

I would be interested in changing this site into full blown niche social network, but I will be looking at how high it gets in price.

    Good luck with the sale.

True, the site looks pretty good and I can see a lot of potential with it.

I used to be an admin for a forum at a site for teens, danish, so I know a bit about that world. Can be pretty funny. Would love to go back to a forum like that. It's kind of tempting to bid on this one for sure. But I don't think I have the funds for it and I believe this one will go pretty high up on bids.

    Everything is unique.

I am the original owner. Babycakes' owner came up with the idea for clubkids, and we expanded on that creating our own forum and site.
.com was setup a good few months earlier than .co.uk, but .co.uk spent a month or so down (as I moved the site to .com) then decided to redirect, but that has not always been the case.
It was a messy situation of servers, but basically:
We created the forum on .co.uk
Server went down so we moved everything to .com
Then we did a redirect from .com to .co.uk

    A mouthful I know.

As for a niche social network, that was my original intention. We wanted to create a brand, or rather a culture of teenagers who enjoyed a similar taste in fashion/music etc...
    Regards,
    Patrick

    $200 Bid through PM.
As such, I've changed the BIN to make me an offer.
I have a rough figure in mind, but we'll see what comes up.

Looks interesting, however a few question:

    1. you got 3,200 users but this is in the stats 'Most users ever online was 4,213, 12-11-2008 at 01:42 PM.' does not quite add up? Can you shed some light on this.

    2. You also mention that you imported the old DB that got lost and as a result, doubled up a large amount of accounts. so how many out of the 3,200 are actually duplicate accounts?

    3. Do you know what the traffic/visits dropped so dramatically over the time? Can you post Jan 09 stats.

    thanks

I believe the most online users was a glitch with the database merge.
It was around 160 online at one time.

There were around 120 double accounts. I've now got this to around 12, still waiting on the final replies. Most imported accounts turned into import-username, so most were easily deleted.

Lack of promotion, updates and attention was the overwhelming factor. I believe for a forum like this, the users need regular updates in order to keep them entertained.

    Regards,
    Patrick
