    Meta Keywords don't matter anymore right? Then should I even bother putting meta keywords on my website?

    I believe this is a good position for Google, but the pages that I dropped the meta keyword on also fell of the serps on Yahoo.

    I still us it for nothing more than documentation what the keyword phrase(S) are and in what priority. I would use it just "in case". There is no other reason that I can tell you.

    I believe you should keep using them. While they may not be used by the search engines for individual rankings, they are still being used for general indexing.

    I think the most important ones you should be sure to use are;
    keywords
    description
    distribution=global or us or uk...
    index=follow all or no follow...index all or no index
    author=personal name or business name

    I think those 5 are very basic and probably expected by the search engines. Who else is using them and which ones do you think webmasters should be using?

    I think they probably don't matter anymore, but it helps me sleep at night to do them just in case.

    Meta-Keywords don't play much of a role in SEO anymore, though I believe it helps Indexing wise. Its still wise to spend the extra 10-20 minutes adding some. Who knows, it might still play a very small factor which is good in the end.

    In my opinion meta keywords don't play any role in any important search engine (however I can't support this with any test results, it's just what I have read and think)

    Meta keywords won't hurt and might still help in some search engines.
    Just make sure you don't exaggerate with the number of keywords you place.
