I don't think there is any limit. But you aren't going to gain much, if anything at all, by using meta keywords. Most search engines don't look at them.

Yeah don't worry about this tag. As prasunsen stated, most search engines don't use this tag. Back in the 90s this tag was more important and many people were stuffing the tag full of keywords. Since it was such an easy thing to manipulate the search engines eventually decided that it was no longer effective to include the keywords meta tag in the ranking algorithms.

The search engines that still use this tag likely only use it to flag spam. So just don't go crazy and fill these tag with repetitive keywords or a very large number of keywords.

Yes, search engine no longer use meta keywords as they were abused in the past.

It is worthwhile spending time ensuring your meta descriptions use enticing text that encourages users searching in google to click on your site rather than the others in the search results - there is no advantage to using keywords in meta descriptions but it does look a lot better if they are concise paragraphs rather than just random text.

Actually the meta description is still useful, because it's displayed under the site name in the search results. So a well written description increases the chance your search result actually to be visited.

As far as I know, there's no limit...as long as you don't put repeated or same keywords on meta tags...

It's not important. But, if you must know a number, I'd go with 4 closely paired keyword phrases.

some people say that the keyword tag is almost irrelevant. but if you are going to have one the main thing is to stay away from keyword stuffing or repeating the same word in the tag over and over again.

Don't bother about it. Put there a decent number of keywords phrases like 5-6 . If you will put more ,it will not affect anyone's health...

If your talking about the Meta Keywords meta Tag there isn't really a strict limit to the amount of keywords you can have in the tag however I would advise no more than 7.

If your talking about the Meta Description tag then no more than 160 characters is your best bet.
