*I'm just naming a few that I have and like. Collateral Damage--I like the message...don't let life pass you by...great acting. Truely didn't expect it to be good. The Count of Monte Cristo--Doesn't do the book justice, but it's good. Actually based off a true story, if you didn't know it. Groundhogs Day--Don't we all feel like this movie everyones and a while? The same day over and over again, till you realize how to make the best of it.... Vanilla Sky--Choses are all you got.... Grosse Pointe Blank--A hitman desiring a change to a better past...funny and highly relative. The Crow--Man, why did this kid die?....what a great film....just watch it to understand. The Aviator--I love the sky (and any way to be around it), and I'm a bit obessive like the character in this movie...excellent story of a man beyond the common.
Groundhogs Day--Don't we all feel like this movie everyones and a while? The same day over and over again, till you realize how to make the best of it.... - i used to work in callcenter and trust me .....it was like this movie... Heat - fantastic movie............ shoot out took 3 weeks to film Fear and Loathing - i used to be quite the druggie and i have seen it a thousand times....... learn something new every time Legend - crazy movie with toim cruise .....cant explain ....go out and rent that shit... Meet the Feebles - peter jackson's early work......... about backstage of a varity show with puppets....awesome story telling White Chicks - didnt think much until i saw it and man o man some funny parts are in this mein...plus parts werte filmed here in the wack... that rounds out my top 5 that i can think about ....looking forward to see what other members are watching.... :d
Fight Club, Vanilla Sky, The Hurricane, Tokyo Drift, Shawshank Redemption, Usual Suspects, MI all, anything that makes you think hard....
3 that just came to mind - Midnight Run - funny lines, great acting, and I'll just come out and say it - a great movie to drink to: every time Bob Deniro looks at his watch, smokes a cigarette, or someone utter F___ ..."Why are you unpopular with the Chicago police dept.?" Ferris Beuller's Day Off - who wouldn't want a day like that! "oooooooooh, yeahhhhhhhhhhh." Better Off Dead - such a popular classic that even Family Guy has spoofed it. actually come to think of it, they spoofed FB day off too. "I've beeen going to this high school for 7 years Lane...I'm no dummy"
Fightclub - something in that movie meant I instantly identified with it. Anchorman - cos I nearly wet my pants.
Once Upon a Time in America (The full 4 hour version) - An epic that follows the lives of several childhood friends as they grow into gangsters. A great cast (Robert Deniro, James Woods, Treat Williams, Joe Pesci). One of my all-time favorites. The Sweet Hereafter - Follows the lives in a small town that recently lost many children in a horrible schoolbus accident, and how they are affected by the "ambulance-chasing" lawyer that arrives trying to profit from it. So sad ...I still think about this movie years after seeing it for the first time. Kill Bill I & II - I always thought David Carradine was cool. And Uma is so hot in these movies. From Dusk Till Dawn - I really liked how this movie morphed from a crime story into a vampire flick. And Salma is so hot in this movie.
The Pianist - A great human emotion and struggle portrait Terminator 2: The Judgement day - A movie ahead of its time, great action. There is something about merry - Great comedy Wild Things - hummm this movie doesnt need more explanation..
i disagree... not all funny films are best... some of them are corny... and sometimes they are over acting to look funny...
