If the keyword phrase has a ridiculous amount of competition (20 million+), we cannot in good conscience take on the project and guarantee a top ten ranking within a year.

In looking at "play free games" (3,770,000 in competition), I feel extremely confident that we get you into the top ten. The more difficult "free online games" (17,000,000) would be very difficult to get up there within a year, but is not impossible.

If we somehow do not deliver on our promise, you have the comfort of knowing that you only paid 1/2 upfront, and that we will refund the down payment if we can't get you into the top ten within a year.

how if the competition is 1.220.000?Could I get top 10 or Top 3 ?

 

It wouldn't be ethical to guarantee a top 3, but top 10 with that type of competition is possible. The keywords would also have to be taken into consideration.

Your techniques didn't look like blackhat but your GUARANTEE to bring site in TOP 10 may be hard to keep. As guniwan said what if site (keyword) has 1.220.000 competition & site it self on 10th page. NOT impossible to bring it in Top 10 but very difficult to achieve the target for such site in just 4-5 weeks.

@Baton: You are obviously welcome to your opinion, but a site with competition of 1,220,000 is hardly something to be worried about. We offer the guarantee as a reassurance, but we have rarely had to honor it.

On top of it, we are only asking for 1/2 of the payment upfront, so it is in our best interest to get a client's site ranked in the top ten quickly so we can request the rest of our money.

I have been doing SEO for over 3 years, so I feel that I had a pretty god idea of what works and what does not.
