Can a site without backlink get google pagerank?

Hi all..
I have a question, Can a site without google backlink and yahoo backlink get pagerank? Thank you.

 

I doubt it, not sure it can even get indexed if it is not linked from ANYWHERE?

every page is created with a nominal amount of PR.

theoretically, if put up enough pages linking to each other, and yes, you could get "some" PR.

not much though, and not nearly as easily as a few decent links in would give you.

I thought that unless you had a link coming in from somewhere (e.g a backlink from another site or wordpres tag or whatever) then google couldn't find your site to index it - although I have heard rumours it can now find your site through analytics.

 

Its simple, a backlink with pagerank will give you pagerank. a link with no pagrank won't give you pagerank.

This is if its dofollow ect

 

Sometimes you can have only a few links and get pagerank 1 or 2. Sometimes you have to have many backlinks to get such pagerank. There's no rule - sometimes it seems that pagerank is given randomly - you cannot find any pattern why useless pages get 3-4 and useful 1 or 2 when they have same number of backlinks...

People say all the time you can have PR without links to it, but when asked to give an example they never can that I have seen.

No, you can't have a PR page without links pointed to it. You can make it look like it has pr through redirects, or someone could remove their backlinks and still show toolbar PR from the last update, but that's it.

Please, all you guys saying you can, give an example. From what I've seen, tested, and read straight from Google is PR comes directly from links, no other factor can give PR, however other factors can take away PR with penalties.

make good content, and you will get PR, I mean at least PR 0, PR 0 better than PR N/A, but if no backlink may be you need to wait until several months or several years.
