I know it says unmetered I have never fully grasped that. Is there a daily cap or monthly cap? Would I have any issues with 15-17tb a month? I have to image there has to be some type of bottom line.

 

There is no cap but the network the switches are sharing 1gbps uplinks so don't expect to be able to push 100mbps all the time but its not like it isn't possible.

Hey, a bit off topic, but it's a free bump none the less. What was used to create those mrtg files? Just config maker and index maker and such? Or was there some external help? I like it and would like to get it setup myself. I'm currently using just a very simple traffic only config.

 

i need space for setting a cgi proxy. do you think i can use vps. i will do a lot promotion for this site, and my target traffic is 5000 uv per day. please pm me with your answer

 

MRTG produces those graphs. I install them on all my client servers as well as my own servers.

The only hosting you can use for CGI proxy is either a VPS or dedicated server since shared hosts do not won't CGI proxies running.

Define high traffic. Where are you currently hosted? How much bandwidth do you currently use? etc. The VPS 512 plan is our most rented plan.

5000 unique visitor per day is high traffic. i have no proxy right now, but I am think having a cgi proxy as it is the fastest type of proxy

 

Our VPS plan 512 would be well suited for you then. Please remember to ask us to optimize the server for CGI proxy once it is setup.

if you have no experience with thewird's vps, do not buy his vps plan as his support is very minimum. Go somewhere to find a better support hosting company. I have just wasted $70 in this unsupport vps, and learn a lesson.

 

He wanted me to install an SSL certificate even though we don't provide support for that.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about!
I've been with thewird for quite some time.. and I can safely say.. his support is better than anything I've ever experienced.

I've run into lots of different problems and lock ups quite a number of times while I was with him.. but he never hesitated to help me out in each one of those.

For everyone else.. if you think you won't get your money's worth from thewird's VPSes and support.. you're VERY WRONG!
