I emailed my vibrant media rep this morning asking why i hadn't been paid yet. In the reply, she said i will not receive a payment until Dec 1st, saying:

    No advanced warning.

    I'm pretty angry right now

Here we go again. Back at the beginning of the year, my Vibrant Media payment was delayed until the following month and at that time, they blamed PayPal's payment system for it. Now my payment's delayed again and this time, they're saying it's because they're updating their own payment system.

No legitimate, professional company updates its payment system at the expense of its customers. If you need to update your systems, you do it at a time when it will not affect your customers. You don't simply not pay people and hope they don't ask where their money is, then tell them you decided to delay their payment by a couple of weeks but couldn't be bothered to let them know ahead of time.

I have a feeling their "updating billing/payment systems" story is just a lame cover-up for the fact that they are completely and utterly clueless.

Normally, Vibrant Media pays on time, but this is the second time this year that payment has gone missing with no explanation given until after I contacted them myself to find out where my money is. I wouldn't even care so much about the delay if they had had the decency to inform me of it ahead of time so I would have known not to expect it for a couple more weeks. The fact that they simply don't pay and hope you won't notice is what bothers me. Not only is it unprofessional, it's also insulting.

It's companies like Vibrant Media, with their mediocre earnings and lack of respect for their publishers, that prove how superior AdSense really is.

I don't mean to hog this topic, but I sent an email to my rep at VM complaining about the delay in payment. I was told that there is no delay because the agreement I signed states that VM has 45 business days to pay its publishers after the end of the month.

This seems strange to me. All along, I've been paid around the 15th of the month, which is approx. 45 "regular" days after the end of the month, not 45 "business" days. Now all of a sudden it's 45 business days? Unfortunately, I can't find the contract I signed with them over a year ago, but I'm almost positive it stated that VM pays approximately 45 days after the end of the month, not 45 business days. Does anyone happen to have their contract handy and can confirm things either way? I noticed it says 45 business days on their website now, but I don't remember it ever saying "business" days when I signed up.

I'm almost positive the contract I signed with them said that VM pays approximately 45 days after the end of the month, not 45 business days which is a different matter entirely. I remember a conversation I had with my rep when I was expecting my first payment and hadn't received it. I told him that I started using VM in December and if I was understanding their 45 day payment system correctly, I should have expected my first payment around the 15th of February. My rep said I was right, then apologized for the delay and blamed it all on PayPal. And if it is true, as my new rep says, that there is no delay, why did they tell us that payments are *delayed* this month?

It looks like VM very recently changed their payment policy to 45 "business" days, again hoping no one would notice, to give themselves even more time to figure out which mouse button to use to click on the "Send Payment" button. I spent a while yesterday searching for a link to their publisher agreement (the one I agreed to when I signed up) but every link I found brought up a "page not found" error. It's a good thing VM is such a small time company and accounts for less than 10% of my total earnings, or I'd be going after them about this. You'd expect more from a company that tries to pass itself off as big time, only accepting technology-based websites with at least 500k page views per month. I certainly expected more.

Vibrant Media is going down the drain at least for me...the rates are inconsistent now, I guess the recession is in full effect.

Now I have to wait for my payment, sigh, well as long as they pay, I can't say sh!t.

That certainly seems to be their attitude, that as long as they pay us eventually, we have no right to complain.

If it's taking you two months to pay your publishers, you're doing something wrong. And when you're basically telling your publishers to shut up about it when they complain, well... that's not too good for the ol' public image.

I'm earning money. I'm just not receiving the money, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of earning the money.

They pay per click, not CPM.

I was very concerned as well, not receiving my Nov. payment. Glad to see that I will get it Dec. 1. I thought they had somehow forgotten to pay me and that there had been a glitch in their payment processing. I will say that Vibrant Media is one of my more consistent and highest pay networks. I'm also seeing a decline in revenue but not just on this network. I use another three networks on my various sites and am seeing my income decrease on all of them. I think it is the economy. I'm not surprised. By the way, Happy Thanksgiving.

Just yesterday I decided to email them to ask about my missing September payment. Lets see what they tell me, but at least it seems its 'on the way' :)

Vibrant usually accounts for 20-30% of my ad income.

I was about to send them message. I am glad I saw this thread.

No, I still didn't get paid. They must have reason for this.

They do have a reason. It's called incompetence.

Today is Dec. 1, and still no payment for my September earnings.
