I was looking to show Cherry what code was and tried to pull the source code from Digital Point forums and found that I could not view it.

On this new box the only thing on it is IE, I have not had the time to download all my programs like FireFox and others yet.

My old box was taken down by M$ anti-spyware I think, it has been screwing up hard drives.

Reboot did not solve the problem, maybe another M$ update of the anti-malicious software did it.

    I hate M$ OS

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just ran Adware and got my view of the source code back, thanks guys, this spyware crap is something else.

I also changed some settings in IE in the advanced controls.

Try it on this page. Works?

Now try it on the top level page. Doesn't work?

Maybe Shawn is up to his clever tricks again.

    Otherwise what did you find?

I can in Firefox, but can't view the top level forum page in IE6. Can if I copy the source from firefox elsewhere. Don't know what is going on.

Sounded lile AC had found the answer.

Edit> Is Shawn trying to hide his non-valid HTML from us?

With all the spyware now days, you had better update Adaware daily and do a full scan on your box.

M$ anti-spyware is NOT the answer as programs were getting by their shield big time.

Vord, I got my views back, don't think it is Shawn, but it is always fun to blame him for my problems in life :p :p

along those lines, I do an adaware daily, virus run daily, and there is something on my computer that is *#$%^*&! it up big time. It keeps attacking the other IP's on the network (home network) and as a result my connection is horrbily slow. I am at a loss as to what it is. If i can't fix it soon, i'm going to reformat the damn thing

Get a MAC Wendy for your next computer, I have had nothing but problems since XP came out and I hate Windows OS, you should not have to be a security expert to stay online without losing your data.

Make sure to back up all your files to a external hard drive or CD folks because I lost a hard drive to what I think was M$ anti-spyware screwing it up.

I can still read the hard drive after putting it in a new computer but I have to invest in recovery software to pull the files because the FAT is now screwed up and Windows can not read the drive.

Yeah a Mac would be wonderful, but alas I just don't have the extra money to shell out on it.

I'm lucky and do back up on a regular basis, but it is still going to be a pain in the arse to do this. Not to mention I'm in the middle of finals for classes. UGH.

That sucks that an MS program messed you up, that's just wrong.

Wendy there is a ton of spyware to deal with everyday and M$ is doing it's best to fight it but many experts have said too little too late even with their anti-spyware and AV investments recently.

You should download SPYBOT 1.3 and be sure to update the profiles then run a full scan, this may help you.

Also download "Spyware Blaster" and enable it on start up for full protection, it runs like a AV program preventing Spyware/Malware from loading in the first place.

    http://www.searchwars.squarespace.com/free-software-downloads/

The above page has direct download links for both programs and other security information.

PS: I told you in the first post that I wanted to show Cherry what source code was and I was going to cut and paste some for her TooSlowBro :)

You got something on your box that is odd if you are having these problems that needs to be taken off Wendy.

If you can explain your problem, maybe others here can help you, start a thread on it or just post more details here if you continue to have problems.

Formatting a hard drive should only be done after you copy all of your files to a disk or CD, then do the format and reload your original OS from your CD if you have it.
