Since its summer time and most schools are closed, I am interested in knowing if anyone would like to share what YPN categories are doing well with arcade sites?

Gaming/Flash Game/Arcade/Computer ads :) Those are the only ad categories you can use on an arcade!

Yeah. Mostly gaming ads work good on a game site :)

I can't find the YPN gaming section targeting either. I put it on a gaming blog and it turned up a bunch of maternity ads, which is bizarre to say the least...

I have it on Entertainment for cat and online entertainment for subcat

I have no idea how good it is since I just started it. check my sig and see what ads I get

I heard computing for cat and internet for subcat is good too but i'm not sure if YPN will frown on it. maybe yes maybe no.

Yahoo Publisher is notorious for that. I had to take down the Yahoo ads on a couple of my websites. I wonder when they are going to finally fix their system and target better their ads.

i attended a YPN focus group last week, where ad targetting issues seemed to be a big topic that we discussed. YPN seems to not have too much of an idea of how to properly target ads.

One thing we talked about which would be great if they can make it work is non-contexually based ads, where ads can be targetted to demographics instead of content, so that you run less of a risk of losing viewers to other game sites. I'm hoping for this technology asap. i hate using google, cause all i get is game site ads, and I run the risk of losing users to the competition, and YPN's targetting is so off that I'm not getting enough clicks.

Arcade site ads work well for me. The CTR is almost worthless, but some of the ads pay very big and make up for the rest! In the end, it all [ads] up :)
