Internet giants Google and Yahoo have announced that they are now changing the terms of their search ad deal in order to pacify the opposer of this collaboration. The aim of this renewed collaborative deal is to win the support of the U.S. Antitrust regulatory bodies. Google had previously hinted that they might move out of the deal to concentrate on their own market rather than collaborate with Yahoo. The new deal has a shorter life with just two years of collaboration. The two companies had earlier planned to work together for 10 years. The updated deal also caps the percentage of search revenue that Yahoo can collect from Google. Google advertisers also get the option to opt out of their partnership with Yahoo. These new terms might be able to get the deal approved but it would be a big loss for Yahoo in the longer run. source: TechWhack
