Google is reportedly blocking use of it's Chrome browser (among other applications like Google Talk and Gmail Notifier) in some countries with which the United States has economic sanctions and export controls with. Some how it's a ridicules decision made by Google, they are an international company.. so why would they block their services for specific countries based on political issues!! However Paypal used to do the same, and even blocking you from accessing your account if you are browsing from those countries.. after all a proxy server based in the US will solve the problem
They should know that ban won't do any good as there are proxies around the world to get around the ban.. simply a gimmick..by Google.
Yeah I saw some where that google no longer allow things in few countries few days ago. People in these countries will be affected as they are a kind of cut off from internet giant google.
then they should not call it world wide web anymore, that's really weird do. will need to look for another search engine!
Unless they are selling something I don't why they would do that... From what I know, those Google products you mentioned are free..
Its the US law FFS! Yeah there are ways people in those countries can get around it but id doesn't mean Google should just go ahead and break the law. It's not their fault, no matter how stupid it is.
I am not sure if Google really does this, but if they do block those countries, this will encourage Cyber terrorism Globally. The simple response is that, any war to established peace opens new era of diversified crime. We never expect this kind of section on the WEB especially from Google. Very unfortunate. Oh my god….. Well Google is a US-based company so it is not exactly to much of a surprise. Last time i checked they where bound by US laws.
this is weird, i wonder why they wanna block it to these specific countries, doesnt make any sense. But yeah they have to follow US rules if there are any. but certainly that would cost them some loss, as their project goes bigger.
Its is bullying. Google has joined this bullying campaign started by US against countries that do not surrender.
