Hotfreesms.net was established nearly a year ago after considering that SMS niche have good demand. The site was built based on a script which cost $400 per copy with 1 year support.

Site is currently has PR2. A while back, it has PR4. Site has not been properly promoted thus making the income low. The domain was registered with Godaddy on 18 November 2007 and due to expire on 18 November 2009. Yes, 2009. So, it still has a year left until it expired and need to be renewed.
Reason for sale is just because I lost my interest in developing the site. I got scammed $350 by a designer/coder. Unfortunately I paid him in full. The biggest mistake I made. This is my very first business online but with that incident, I think I am not suited to be an entrepreneur. The price for this site is low considering the price of that script and the age of the site. If developed by the right person, this can be developed further and potentially can be as big as other SMS site out there.

The starting bid of $600 is the same as my reserved price. It included the $55 license transfer fee. If bought for BIN, I will submit the site to 1250 directories with manual submission and bundle my unused domain (webdevrants.com) for free. Total registered members based on the email address on the site was 1607. With that amount, you can just resend an email and invite them to the site again.

It is sad when people go there, and joy bid on an auction.
Has a good reputation doesn't means that a bid is a true bid.

Revenue Details:

Currently in the region $1-$5 per month from Adsense. And 0 from paid subscription. (all paid subscription was refunded due to insufficient credits). Low revenue because with no credits to give, visits has been decreasing.
When it was operational 100%, it earned me around $50 from paid subscription and $2-3/day from Adsense.
The site generate revenue from Adsense, paid Subscription. While the site is on its peak, I managed to sell SMS credits. Even in this idle state right now, people are still sending me funds to buy the credits, however I refunded all of the paid subscriptions due to the fact I got no credits to sell. But now I refunded all paid subscription due to the site does not have credits to sell anymore. Credits bought from Clickatell.com in bulk order and I did not bought more credits as I lost interest with the site.


Traffic Details:

Traffic came from word of mouth and forum posting. The site has low traffic due to the fact that my only promotion was forum posting.
