Hello, I'm doing a report where I'm making an informational website of a famous artist. I want to know, could i register a domain with his name in it if i use it as strictly non commercial and its just a info site?
good question, and not one i ever really thought about. i currently have the domain name "georgeclooneyfan.com", and was thinking what could i do with it, apart from selling it to a George Clooney fan lol. will keep an eye on this thread, and see what answers others come up with.
That sounds fine. There are various decisions supporting such, especially non- commercial sites. Practically your only issue is how far the artist in question might want to make a possibly big fuss about it. Tread carefully, and you should be fine. Good luck.
