Will Google Die if the U.S. Economy Collapses?

Please, don't die Google. But what if the US economy collapses? Will Google survive in the crash?

Yes, because people will continue to search the internet, and affiliates will continue to sell cheap, digital, and other products that do well in bad economies. They won't have as many big brand names paying as much to search, but they will still make a lot of money, and they're in a better position than most businesses since online advertising and sales is cheaper than in stores.

Guys, I think Google would be fine. It's mostly banks and financial institutions that are collapsing. No sign of technology companies suffering yet

According to smart economic analysts, a collapse of the US economy will have a ripple effect on many US-based companies, triggering a massive debacle of American firms, including technology firms.

Google has the size, dominance and deep pockets to ride out the storm.

I think Google will not submerge with US Economy. Lot of users too in Europe that prefer the search engine. Also in Asia. Though Yahoo really have the most promotion in Asian countries.

google will not collapse any time soon. the stock is way off its highs but that doesn't have anything to do with a collapse.

Google will definitely be affected by the slump in the US economy but won't die; its profits will go down and also it will cut down the number of employees as an economy measure, so too the webmaster's income...

Google will survive.

It has strong cash flows and doesn't rely on external funding (debt) for daily operations.

Also, it is working hard to diversify across geographies and this will prove to be a good long-term strategy.

Its profits will surely get affected as a big chunk of its revenues still comes from the US.

I think Google will survive but yeah, every body will be affected negatively including Google. If that happens, we will see much lower adsense payouts.

I highly doubt Google will die because of the US Economy, they are popular throughout the world and they have a huge amount of money anyway. They will survive.
