$60 Logo Contest - Photography Related - Runner Up Prize

Ok guys I'm excited to see what you all will come up with on this one! We are doing a complete rework for this client.

We currently have two contests running: I will post a link to the other shortly. The first (this one) is a logo contest. The other is a signature/branding image that will be used as an overlay on proofed photos and such.

Basics:
The photography studio name is "Black Eyed Susan Photography" please see there is no hyphen in the Black Eyed Susan Photography though. The colors we would like to see are, Bright Yellow, Black and Teal.
Again, we are open to new and fresh ideas. The studio focuses on weddings, engagements and portraits. The design needs to be fun, free feeling, and relaxed.

Have fun, but make it look professional.

To be determined, it will run until we find a suitable design.

Hi there,

Here is something different. I wanted to incorporate both a camera shutter feel with the 'eye' aspect of your company name. The text has remained simple so not to overcomplicate things.

@VictoriaAnn: Your design is among my favorites. Very creative! Is there any way to incorporate the flower into this design as well. Also, if you could post a design with spaces between the Black Eyed Susan portion.

 

@Tightwad: Interesting concept with the yellow in the eye. I like the lay out of the Black Eyed Susan with the photography below. I feel the eye is a little too dramatic for the image we are trying to portray.

 

@ishiro: Really like the one with the large B and the one under it that's bes photography. These designs are what we are looking for in the other contest for signature/branding. They both are great, would need to see how they worked scaled down since they'd be going on wallet sized images also.

 

@Duff100: Simple, clean but not fond of the butterfly. The flower would be a better replacement.

 

@a4hire: font very similar to current look. Like the flower though!

 

@thelebeau: So far this is on the tops of the favorites list! No hyphen though. Like the fonts, wondering what the image would look like without the fading of the letters or a bit bolder?

 

@Fuser00: Don't care for the camera and the font is too plain. Do like that you showed it for both black and white backgrounds as both are used.

 

@Watari: Very interesting design on the eye. Not fond of the red though. I'd like to see the flower in the logo rather than a camera.

 

Great job so far! I've made individual comments to each participant. Would love to see something creative that would incorporate an eye with the black-eyed susan flower.
