    Hi

After a submission what is the maximum days a site needs to wait to be listed or be rejected in your directories?

24-72 hours. Depends on how busy and/or how committed you are.

What's with the "waiting game" I don't understand the process of "we will process you site within 24 hours(bs)" If mine took long to approve a site, it only means i'm not near my computer.

The way I do it, if i'm connected to the web and i'm loggon to my site, I see submissions, I check each and everyone of them. Now come's whether if I will approve or delete them based on the quality of sites.

Don't play games, approve or deny, simple;)

Edit: I would really have to go with what sizzler said, because I do work a lot and travel to, so I will change this as well, thanks sizzler!

Since I am usually on the net most of the day and night (one of the perks of being retired), I check my directories 2-4 times a day.
Approve and delete a site submitted somewhere in the neighborhood of no more than 8 hours after submission.

Unless I am gone for the day, doing other stuff, tagging along while wife shops (not today, she and her daughter went together).

    Hi,

Well for me I always believe that they should wait no more than a week. So I make sure all sites are added/rejected within a week. Mostly with me it only takes about 12 hours for the link to be approved or rejected.

But it also depends on the amount of links being added and also the editors(lazy ones[DMOZ])

I hate having links to approve, so with that in mind I try to check at least twice a day. Other than that the longest you'll wait is two days.

    I also own 2 directories.

I'm with WWWS on this, what is with the waiting game? To me, either you are committed to your project, or your not. If the owner of the directory is going to be away for a while and can't review submissions, either get someone to do it for you, or shut down while you are gone.

I hate waiting too long, and I refuse to play the game like I'm receiving so many submissions that I can't keep up. Just not the case most times. When reviewing submissions becomes a burden and something I dread, I'll throw in the towel. ;)

A lot of the sites I have waiting in my queue are the ones that need further investigation. Sometimes I just need to give it some time, to see if the site changes at all. For example, a forum with few posts that's just on the threshold between being too dead to include, and being worthwhile. Or a news site that has some good content but it doesn't date back long, and I suspect it won't be maintained. In those cases I might give it a month before deciding one way or another.

Some times it is as fast as minutes max being 24 Hours. Recently I am not able to find time so for couple of days I have not approved any sites. But I really hate the links to accumulate and see somethign like there are 150 links to be reviewed. That surely sucks so I review like 20-25 Links in one go. Sure a good percent is filtered out. Specially those illegal and MFA sites..

I own 2 directories as of now!
