I have shot revolver, SLR and a double barreled gun. Double barreled is ours.
That was amazing experience. Shooting is my passion, obsession.

I wasn't sure of the model, but if I recall it was a .22 Revolver. I was at the Police Academy.

I was in the military before, as a Tank Platoon Commander. I've fired M16s, SAR21s, Carbines, General Purpose Machine Guns, LMGs, and 75mm Anti-Armor Tank Rounds =)

My husband is an absolute gun fanatic. He was at one time a registered firearms instructor and also teaches hunter safety classes. I literally have NO clue how many guns he has (shot guns, rifles, hand guns). His most prized possession is the German Luger (I think) that his grandfather carried in WWI. It was never fired during the war (long story) and my husband has only fired it a couple of times. I've gone with him and I guess I'm a decent shot for not having done it much, but he is phenomenal.

Shooting is a blast! Everyone should try it at least once. And try different types of guns and shooting locations.

Recently I took my brother who had never shot before to an indoor pistol range and he didn't care much for it. Then I took him rifle shooting outdoors and he loved it!

    ali-2006: Don't you mean semi-auto?

digitaldirect4u: 50 cal sounds like fun, especially seeing the effect of the bullet's impact. Might be a little rough on the shoulder after a few shots though.

I currently do not own any guns.

    But I love to shoot.

    Hence, the web business...heh

    I've shot: .22 LR, 20 Guage, 12 Guage, 44 Long Colt, 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, AR-15 (.223), SKS (7.62x39), .380 Auto, .25 Auto, .300 Weatherby Magnum, .308 British, 30/30 Winchester, and maybe a couple others that I don't remember.

My favorites (in the 3 main categories, rifle, shotgun, pistol) are the AR-15 (tied with the .300 Weatherby), 12 Guage (prefer pump for hunting, pistol grip for home defense), and the .357 Magnum (which is great, you can use .38 special rounds for practice...which are cheaper).

From the looks of the list I've made, I could be from Texas...*grin*

I don't understand why people think that people who shoot or own guns are worrysome, or have some dangerous 'obsession'.

Guns are safe with proper handling, and quite fun.
