I'm curious.. have you ever "Googled" yourself? Have you ever searched for your own name to see what kind of stuff comes up? I found articles from 2 years ago I don't even remember writing.

In a way this is kinda useless I think because there are many people in the world with the same first and last name so a lot of the times you will find stuff on other people.

I Googled my name and got something about a dead kid that died like so many years ago, he was involved in a shoot out and got killed but in all reality all his fault and I don't see why people made a big thing online about it.

My point being my search resulted with nothing that has to do with me just lots of other people.

Yea, I find me! and my websites it might have something to do with the fact I have a website with a web address of firstname.lastname.com. haha

It's always good to see.. Since I put my name in the footer of my websites I also use it to see if rankings change on my websites, it's obviously not reliable but it gives a small indication to see if they get better.

i searched my name and found a double suicide in America somewhere ? scary stuff, i double check my pulse but iam all good , the heart is still ticking.

All the time. It's called reputation management. With the ease of writing on the internet, you never know who has written something about you.

Also, start using Google Alerts on you name. It helps keep track of whats being said.

One of my friend was so sad about searching his own name, most results show his name was involved in criminal cases.

well i cant remember the last time i googled my self must have been years

after reading this i googled my self and a lot of stuff really related to me (most of which i had forgotten about) if yours is not much relevant try searching in quotes "firstname lastname".

If you register with you original name a lot of profiles like the forums you have registered on, blogs you made even face book and myspace profiles could come.

One more also try searching for the nick that you use most of the time.

yes we used and most of peoples are using their names to check some work with user name.

I google my name occasionally but unfortunately there's a famous keyboard player, a prominent doctor and several TV and stage actors who share the same name as me, so I don't really get a look in until the 3rd page of results.

Yes, there is semi-famous drummer with the same last name as me as well as a shipwreck.
