New Google Algo Update

Ok, so how many of you have been hit by the latest update? At least as far as I'm concerned, it's an update after learning that many other site owners around here have been hit hard in the serps by G.

My site got slammed. How has yours fared?

I can guess how you voted.

Last week, I forget which day, a lot of sites dropped serps for "every" term by 30-50, even when you type the domain of your own site.

My theory is it was they started looking for the signature of the DP co-op ads, thus it is so many people around here talking about it.

Or maybe I am grasping at straws, wishing it is something I easily have control over (i.e. remove DP co-op ads) to get my serps back which I desparately want

If you mean the lower indexed pages, and the IBL/OBL factor, YES, I got hit.

 

If people were watching the databases finally converted over the last week to finish a 3 month long update process. Great results....

I agree. Even a search for my own domain is back about 20 pages.

 

I've seen positive movement. Nothing major but enough to know something is/was going on.

 

Definitely Not. I have moved up to #2 on a popular keyword

 

Were you running Co-Op ads?

 

The update has been implementing since March..........................................................

Last week it just seemed to be solidified or finalized. I watched 2 specific KWP go from about #22 to top 10 to #38 or so and around and around again. Using McDars datacenter tool to watch the different results. Now almost all datacenters show the KWP I have been watching at #8 and holding strong (even climbing just a bit)

Most all other KWP have kept good positions or increased some.

 

Can we have an option, "its all over the place"

 

I'm not noticing any changes. I wouldn't have even know there might be an update going on if I hadn't seen threads about it here at DP today.

Yep. Google got me. All pages dropped in serps, the majority in supp hell. 3 sites.

And I have never been a member of any co-op. DP or otherwise. All of my backlinks are natural and accumulated over a year. All BL's were received by emailing webmasters and asking for a link trade.

 

I went from nowhere to about mid-20's for some key terms. So for me this was a good update.

DP seems to have the best attributes of SPF a couple of years ago and some other great characteristics.

Ya, but that happened so long ago it is old news. The update noise I'm seeing today seems to be people questioning a new update.
