PM Spam solution

    This thread is directed to our staff so if they would please move my thread to the mod base for consideration i would appreaciate it :)

    Digitalpoint is a GOOD SITE and its being made to look bad by all these spamming idiots coming ashore just to spam.......

    On 1 site im on PM ACCESS IS DISABLED UNTIL YOU HAVE 5 POSTS.. (The new member group (0-4 posts) has everything disabled (Signatures,etc)) and it works quite nicely :)

    Perhaps we could try that here on DP?? (NO reason really for a new member to send a PM that has 0 activity)

    Just offering a good suggestion to my friends here on Digitalpoint :)

    I wonder why its rejected!! (The only members who send PM spam are NEW MEMBERS with less than 5 posts (Usually))

    It would bring spam to the forums instead. There is no solution to PM spam.

    I guess your right my friend....

    Spam on the bases is worse than in PM (If its gotta be somewhere)

    It seems to be working on WHT though,no spam on the bases there (The mods delete it straight away if any is posted)

    Spammers will spam anyway and 5 posts is no roadblock.

    spam will be there always.. it's a matter of just deleting.. and banning.

    Too bad it isn't illegal. Heck, if you could sue for spam... A lot of people would be rich!
