Hi, You seem to be asking all the right questions -- that's a good start. Godaddy is quite well known now from all the expensive ads that they put up during superbowl. I can assure you there are many webhosts out there who are even better but simply don't advertize half naked girls at superbowl halftime. For being a reseller you will need : 1)a reseller account. 2) A website to advertize your products. 3) A billing client. 4) merchant account that will process your customers credit card info. Paypal will also do this. 5) before you do all of the above you will need a Business Plan (google business plan pro) 6) you will need to establish a business bank account. ------ just contact me for more info and i can pass on all that i know. I have also started to offer cheap reseller plans if you are interested. I can also hook you up with selling domains. However, from the looks of your sig you seem to be already providing web services. You will need a dedicated server to be able to start offering Reseller plans to other would be webhosting companies. I currently offer plans that start at $169/month with the following specs: PU 2x2.33GHz, 4MB L2 Cache 2 GB RAM (up to 8 GB available) 250 GB SATA-II hard drive 1500 GB Tier 1 bandwidth 100Mbps Port 8 IP Addresses Choice of OS Multi-homed network Colo4Dallas data center Server management included Toll-free technical support hotline Please note -- you will not see this advertised on my website yet. Good Luck,
can't disable linux, but can only choose between linux or windows. it can't be both but only 1 per system.
Their hosting isn't bad at all, but their support is a bit horrid...but they can be understanding people at times.
They might be the biggest, but they are also the worst. If they spend more money on support then marketing maybe they will get somewhere. - Prilep
Listhen everybody i want to b a reseller of windows hosting only...i will nt entertain any rEseller....i want mother of resellers
well i am asking about godaddy and people are trying to sell their services here..... what the hell is this ?
Well, I guess you want to resell space, but are not looking to be a conventional reseller (conventional resellers are those who can sell domains, web hosting, ssl certificates and other services as offered by host company like GoDaddy). I think what you want is to buy space and later on sell chunks - as a reseller (if i get this right) Here are the options on GoDaddy Shared Hosting (Monthly plans) Choose Shared Windows Hosting Deluxe $7 150GB Space & 1500 GB transfer (Unlimited sites - read this as 1024 sites) Premium $15 300GB Space & 3000GB transfer You could opt for Virtual Dedicated Server (Starts from $42 / month - with additional cost for Windows OS) or Dedicated server ($80 / mo onward - with additional cost for Windows OS), configure it as per your requirements and start selling... Hope this covers your question, Good luck!!!
Man. What are you planning to do with your reseller? Also, don't get angry when people offer services when you somewhat ask for them to tell you about it (not sure if its your English or what).
Here is my OPINION: Get your own server box. Set it up, or pay someone to set it up. Put it in a data center "IN YOUR CITY".... becuase when it goes down, you will have FAST access to it vs. Getting servers from places that offer you so-called dedicated servers. There are some dedicated servers that are NOT dedicated servers. You have to be careful when how you pick, or who you pick as a host. Again, having your OWN equipment is better than leasing it from someone who can take away the machine if you VIOLATE their terms of service. They can always find things to say that you violated TOS. It's very had to govern all the sites that you will be hosting... especially if you're going to be offering CHEAP plans. Not every client has VALUES. Some will SPAM on your server and do other things. With a server leased from someone else, they can take the machine and DELETE your information from it vs. With you OWN server, all they can do is PULL THE PLUG... But you still have your server and the info on it. Last issue is downtime.... which is the HEART BEAT of hosting. You will LOOSE customers this way. A lot of these so called dedicated leasing companies don't fess up to thier issues. They try to put the blame on you most of the times. I've had many experiences with this. The hardest thing is to tell them they gave you a LEMON. And to get stuck with a LEMON SERVER on a contract. Also they try to charge your for EVERY LITTLE THING..... Then try to get credit from them for the downtime is a B1TCH. I've had servers go offline for OVER 12 hours.... to have someone sit on their A$$ and not fix the problem. Then you ask them why it took to long to fix, and it's like they don't care. But come 1st of the month, you have to pay them for the server. Save your money... get your OWN BOX, put it in a data center as close to you as possible.
