Yes, again it's about competition. If you have one blog for one product then you can see results very fast. On your big blog, if it promotes multiple products or is on multiple niches, then it will take more time because you need to get some credibility first. That's why I said the "big" one has to be constantly updated, while a small blog with only one product and not so much competition can get almost instant results with only 3 or 4 posts and say... 3 backlinks from Squidoo and EzineArticles. You need a plan for this main blog and know what you are going to say, how often, and stick to your plan. When I said the small blogs could be done for testing purpose it's because they don't have to be related. They can be of different niches and not related to your main blog too. You may know lots of things about sport and can create a blog that you could update everyday, and then if some insurance affiliate programs (or AdSense) seem good enough to be promoted, just create a small blog for it.
I have few blogs..yes its true blogging is a time consuming task but on the same time once your blog gets a really good traffic your blog will earn you good money
Hi Lastbutnotleast Ive found that with some blogs when i start them off i update every single day, then after a few months old i may ease off a bit but still update a few times a week. Once i have a few posts in place il begin submitting to directories to get the blog found. To help give me things to write about il setup google alerts and visit related forums of the topic looking for unanswered question. I think it helps if you dont have a day job (i dont) 7 days a week on this. I feel its important to throw the net out there and setup a few blogs, not just one, you will find a way of coping with them. You may find yourself not neglecting, but giving favour to some you prefer working on, but months later you may find yourself going back to the others and bringing them up, both in content and in backlinks etc. On my newer blogs i choose not to use articles or content from anywhere else and solely write my own, only on some older, less fave blog il grab a few ezinearticles.
I don't know the right answer. Honestly, I see the argument for having one blog and also see the argument for having multiple blogs. I think 7 blogs updated daily is a huge task for anyone. I think you would best be continue with the number of blogs that you have but hey if you can do it more power to you.
I think 1 blog is not enough. Anything could happen to it and you'd be f**ked. No diversification. I think 100 blogs is too much to manage. Even 10 to 20 blogs can be difficult to write regularly on. I myself have some trouble. But I am planning more blogs. Without any promotion I find that each blog has a natural daily visit limit. You can push this limit but eventually you spend more time on diminishing returns. More time you could have spent on other blogs. Here is an easier way. Blog about topics that are not time dependent. Where the content does not need to be "fresh". Then write in your blogs and schedule the posts - easy to do with Wordpress. Load up 30 posts of 100 words each, easily done in a day and you can have 2 months worth of posts. This is what I'm going to do shortly. The other downside of having a lot of blogs is that it is a major pain in the @ss to upgrade them all, even with the auto upgrade plugin.
