Let's cut to the chase here... No Keyword Development Tool is going to give you any advantage if everyone else is using the same tool or similar tools. I see posts all the time about what is you favorite KW tool. You get the same answers all the time. The fact is that you can't gain any advantage if you of thousands of other people using these tools. You all end up with the same results. So why follow the heard. If you want to win at this game it requires non automated research. Human research is the absolutely best tool available. You also should research the competitions website and examine what they are using. Don't just read the Meta tags read the content. You will also want to read websites that are from various geographic regions of our country. This allows you to find regional variation in language. If you want to win at keyword development you have to work hard , be creative, and think outside the box. A good place to start by using your friends, family, business associates, and strangers as your research team. Ask them how they would search for your products or service. Compile these results into a database and you will have a great starting point for your keyword development. You will not be very successful in keyword development if you use the same tools as everyone else... Doesn't that make sense?
I greatly disagree. Certain keyword tools allow you to find undiscovered niches and popularly searched keywords that are under discussed around the world wide web. The slightest change to the arrangement of the URL of your domain name all the way to the keywords your niche site is targeting can be the difference between being found on google hundreds of times or thousands of times. Keyword tools help you discover the words you should target so you don't end up wasting your time.
Research is your best tool if you want to be successful. You can't use software that everyone else is using and stand out in a crowd.
I never really found them a whole lot usefull. I'd rather go to Google and look at their keyword rankings. I think keyword software is the same as everything else. It's popular, and people think it's the answer(because their somewhat lazy) like Pop-up blockers or Registry Cleaners.
Completely disagree - its not the tool - its how you use it!! The tool will simply facilitate the manner in which to automate certain tasks, keyword discovery, tracking etc. Its then how you use the, should I call it "data", and manipulate it to information, that sets the masses apart from the keyword experts! Just my 2c.
I totally agree with this point. Even if we use the keyword research tool, we cannot be lazy and just use the results from the tools. My experience is that the tools can only give you a base to start the research.
