Unfortunately you should be little more careful with your domain.

Also, do you have any proof this was even yours?

And if you want more proof, her is the letter from Godaddy ( who were not really any help )

    Dear Mark xxxxxxx,

Thank you for your email. It appears you entered into a third party agreement regarding the domain name and initiated the account change. As such, we are not able to become involved in this dispute.

Any further dispute over the ownership of the domain name will need to be sent either to the registrant, through an ICANN-approved arbitration provider (http://www.icann.org/dndr/udrp/approved-providers.htm) or the court system. Please be assured that if we receive notice of a pending legal dispute we will lock the name so that it cannot be transferred or otherwise modified. Likewise, when we receive a decision we will update the name accordingly. If you file a dispute concerning the domain, please forward a copy to .

If you find that you are unable to contact the registrant because information in the Whois database is invalid, such as containing a disconnected telephone number or an undeliverable mailing address, please send a detailed email to . At that time we may attempt to contact our customer and request that they update the information.

    Thank you,

The person I THOUGHT I sold it to has been a member here for a long time with a lot of iTraders, so I will not name him here , however, I can say that I called him AFTER the push and found out his account was hacked. As for , I have no idea if he is a member here or just someone who hacked an account.

    It wasn't AlexRalph was it?

Always CALL the person when dealing with domains of good value. Very important to make a 10-second call.

I hope you can somehow get it back, good luck maniac.

It looked like ChaosKnight only made a $ 185 offer, while maniac said it was sold at BIN via PM, so it doesn't look like it's Chaos member that bought it.

Hey, this is just the standard letter back from GoDaddy. You need to go back and forth a few times until they will eventually become involved. I have gone through this myself, and basically, GoDaddy will eventually put you through a process where a GoDaddy lawyer will contact you, or your lawyer, who are always helpful ;) Lol, thats as far as I got before the scammer resold the domain, and I couldn't do anything. It takes a while for them to agree to freeze the domain without a subpoena....Anyways, good luck! Also, contact PayPal, and scream and yell at them even though they can't really do anything...(It always makes you feel better)...Lol, at least it did for me. Sorry for the side note, but good luck getting your domain back!

    btw.. Maniace,
Rather then text, actualy photographs (screenshots) would be better.

Chances are indeed slim.. Nearly zero. If it comes at a bargain, anyone would buy it :(

That sucks. Good luck getting your domain back Mark. I saw your auction thread and thought you were undercutting yourself on the price or either not in posession of the domain for real. Why didn't you use TDNAM or an escrow service? Even for $335, it's worth the fees to do it through an escrow, plus a domain like what you were offering generally can command thousands of dollars on TDNAM. In my opinion, that was a triple premium domain and I couldn't believe somebody was offering it here for the price you were asking. I was actually tempted to toss you the BIN. Kicking myself in the arse for not making an offer :-(

I agree. Screen-shots = Good For You. It doesn't take much time. Take screen-shots such as:
1)WHOIS records with time stamp and date BEFORE sale.
    2) Any communiication between you and buyer
    3) Transaction (payment received + name/address etc of sender)
    4) The sales thread
    5) The domain in your account
    6) The domain as you initiate the transfer.
    7) WHOIS records AFTER transfer is complete

*To get a date and time stamp in your screen-shots, just hover over the date area in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Also, as previously mentioned (by Nem0)... making a brief phone call = Good For You.
When selling higher $ domains, always make the phone call - if for nothing else, at least to see if the contact info is valid...and to see if that info belongs to the same ID you are dealing with.

One more thing, NEVER take a PayPal payment for more than you can afford to lose/stomach losing. PayPal is NOT a regulated entity, which is partly why they are a scammers delight.

That said, I do hope this turns out well for you in the end, though you will be working against the odds.
    .
