...but really sucks for stability and backwards compatibility and gargantuan memory usage. But that's another thread...
I have 8gb ram so that's not really an issue, but it DOES suck for stability. I wish I bought a Mac! In the "I love Affiliate Marketing" thread I thought this was something crucial: This is absolutely true. I cannot even imagine how many hours I have spent on my blogs...
great earning, seems defbtely load of hard work rimki,do u mind sharinbg ur blogs so dat can serve as inspiration any one uf u wish.and any oder valuable guidance for newbies lke us.since i knw evrything abt SEo stuff, quiet gud at taht but main thing is content and how to cultivate it in blog.
Anywhere from 3k to 5k uniques per day to each blog... Page views is much higher than that and varies massively from blog to blog.
Man I've been resisting blogs till now, well as the borg say resistance is futile Google loves blogs, an I don't quite get it Well done 1 question, do you get the CJ feed ?
Most of us are REAAAALLY lazy and thus trying to avoid writing lots of blog content. Until now I have been just creating lots of CMS pages and having a static page as my front page. I figure, hey, those product listings are CONTENT, right? But I guess as someone points out, Google loves those blog front pages. And I really hate scraping, so don't plan to do that soon... And I CAN write. So what are you doing in those blog posts? Product write-ups? Deep linking of shop pages? Posting pictures of your cat?!
Great. You are making a lot of money for doing the thing you like. I am still looking for something like that.
@ Markowe - Basically, I pick a niche and write about products in that niche. At the end I have a link back to the merchant where the user can buy the product if they so wish.
Hey, I got one more question about traffic. Since you're going by the blog route, do you get most of your traffic from the new blog posts, ranking for long-tail keywords, or are you targeting competitive keywords for your traffic? I'm thinking about starting a blog as part of my site, but I don't know if I'd get decent amount of traffic, especially only from long-tail. Thanks.
I target every one of my blog posts with a long-tail keyword in mind. However, I still set everything up so that in the long-term I can rank for a competitive term (nothing is impossible).
Aw, come on, Macs are the shiz! As I've been flooded with PM's here are some more FAQ's... How do I pick a niche? I posted about this a while ago; How do I get traffic to a new site? I created a thread on this not long ago - see here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=695933 Will you mentor me for a fee? I have no plans to offer a coaching service at the moment, though may consider it with considerable more demand. Will you show me your 3 blogs? Sorry, but no.
Inspiring stuff! Thanks for sharing You make an excellent point that people shouldn't be afraid to avoid the over competitive markets, you just need to be smart about it. Matt
After yet more coaching requests, I'm considering creating a free (yes, free) coaching program... We'll see
Make a little site, stick some ads on there, sell some BANS on the back of it, why not! $14k a month is too much though, silly money. Though with the $$ being as weak against the pound as it is, I guess it could even be better!
