Debunked, you said: I again ask. I'd like to know what makes you believe the U.S. is headed to a situation where you must needs convert to atheism, or Islam, or die.
NO - I said: I didn't state some sort of known fact in that statement did I. Please don't try to beat this one out to make some point that you have that is different than what I said. North, I am allowed an opinion am I not? I base this opinion on what I have seen or experienced. There are a few within the ranks of the senate and house that have introduced or pushed legislation that would be a hindrance to living in freedom (religiously) in the USA. (No I don't have the list of names, but there is plenty of info on the net showing different items introduced that most have not yet made it through.)
Debunked, please read your own words. WHAT SOMETHING tells you we are moving to a state in the United States where you must convert to atheism, or Islam, or DIE? First, DIE - be extinguished, mort, dust, toast, cadaverous. Secondly, if you don't literally believe this, and just posted this for emotional effect (and if so, please allow me to remind you ): -What legislation has been "introduced or pushed" that would be "a hindrance to living in religious freedom in the U.S.?"
I quoted one of my responses that I think you missed. But also I did say what that something was - things I have seen happening or experienced. Die - do you think I need a definition? I sell cremation urns, do you think I don't know what death is? I would rather die than convert to some religion. You can only kill my body, so if it comes to that I will fit to the death.
Debunked, please slow down, and read your words. In other words, "we are heading to a condition in the United States, where one must convert to atheism, or Islam, or die." Is this really difficult? It's a question - please provide evidence that we are heading to a place where one must convert (to anything), or die. Can you see that this differs from the idea that that you "would die first before converting?" Your words, not mine, and I seek explanation. Secondly, I will need you to point to legislation, proposed or pushed, that would make a Christian uttering words from the Christian text hate speech. If such a proposal was voiced on the floor, please provide evidence it wasn't laughed out of the chamber, before calling the deputies and the men in funny white coats. If you don't have the proposed legislation, please provide the source where you got this idea. In other words, please provide anything in the way of evidence. I'm afraid that "I got a hunch" is much like your trashing of Obama's speech, only after admitting you didn't read it. Or characterizing me as a socialist, because I attended Berkeley. And so forth. If you would make such a vaulting accusation as to state the U.S. is in the process of murdering Christians who refuse conversion to atheism or Islam, it might be nice to see a piece of evidence.
Since you are on a roll again and I have been reading your posts towards others I am really not interested in getting into this with you. First you have misunderstood what I wrote and keep rearranging the order of words to come up with something I didn't say. ie: vs. I see a pointless discussion since you keep misunderstanding some simple statements and I don't know if this is on purpose or not.
Debunked, it's regretful that you can't address your own words, as I've misundertood nothing, nor have I "rearranged" anything - I have asked you whether you believe the words you literally write and apparently it's just a bit much to ask. You cannot provide an example of: and you can't say whether you actually believe: Seems pretty elementary to me. In other words, "Wow," since this is the United States of America, founded on the right to worship as you please, and if what you say is true, we've got a pretty fundamental problem afoot. Please do give me a break, as well, regarding my "being on a roll again...posts to others." In what is now becoming a typical method, with vagaries you impute some subterranean manner to responses given without providing an example. Here, I will agree with one poster (though we do not agree on much else anymore),
Rebecca, please also see Matthew 24 (in other words, ostensibly Christ's own words, not those of John prophesying as in Revelations): There is a lot of evidence that the early Church believed the "ends of times" were imminent - that the putative story of Christ's first, brief return after death was but a precursor and his Second, final Coming was imminent. This, although there is the idea of "live righteously, forget about it" (also from Matthew 24): The idea of persecution, and the impending apocalypse, rapture, and all the rest as described in Revelations, has been there from the beginning. See the first Millenial movements, for example.
I'm irrational! You are trying very hard to be perfectly rational! It does not compute! Danger Will Robinson!
