You won't get banned as long as you take off the images above the Google AdSense ad.
It's a violation of the TOS and Google will mostly likely not give you a second chance.

If your according to TOS it really dosent matter if you keep them or leave. BUT if you leave them MAKE SURE you TOS compliant!

But there shouldn´t be any problem by leaving them

Just make sure you remove the images by them because they are misleading to the consumer as they think they are clicking something that has to do with the image and then they go to another place that an advertiser has paid good money for, so its just gaming the system and Google will ban you for it.

Jeeze, everyone is so paranoid. It's NOT a problem. Just accept it and it will be OK. Life continues.

According to google, if you try to immitate the adsense banners etc... then you will be banned. As long as you make it obvious that it's not part of the adsense ads you'll be fine :)

    hi abdoyotk,

    AFAIK, it's not allowed ANYMORE.
Back when Michael Cheney made that video (yes, I've watched that as well), it was still ok (within rules) but it's not any longer.

Take it off while you can. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

    All the best!

I had an email before from Google support telling me that acceptable CTR should be in a maximum of 6%. There are data why google came-up with this limit... more than 10% is considered fishing... No one would visit your site just to click your ads in legal way...

you dont need to remove the ads but just replace it. the way you are doing is against TOS so put it somewhereelse that will not mislead the visitors.

There is no nice way to say this. You are wrong! I have a site that has been up over a year with a CTR over 3 times your 10% number. You can read my posting history and see that I mention this multiple times.

You said, "I had an email before from Google support telling me that acceptable CTR should be in a maximum of 6%." I say prove it! Post the email!

I have various sites with CTR over 30%
It's a lie that you can't have CTR over 6%

That placement is against TOS as you can put ads next to images.
