Basically I am bit confused. I am making a blog at wordpress.com. Now thing is that I want it to be hosted to my own hosting servers, and I dont want that subdomain name, instead I want to redirect it to my own newly registered domain at GoDaddy. Plz help me, in how to do this, cause I dont want a subdomain of wordpress, although I am building the website in Wordpress platform, I need it to be hosted in my server and domain name being changed to my registered domain name. Is this possible, plz tell me exactly what I need to do for this
You need to set up Wordpress on your own server and import all of your posts from Wordpress.com into your own blog wherever you are hosting it.
u can shift but not redirect.....if u redirect your .info domain to wordpress blog completely then they charge u $10/year for this mapping but as still blog is hosted at wordpress.com you can't give ads there http://wordpress.com/blog/2006/10/24/domain-mapping-registration/ So shift to another server..import posts..point domain to this...you would have a pro blog...
