Mystik. I thinkl you have at least 500 unique of at least PR4 links. I myself seen your site everywhere. You just can't go any worse than this. It's just that Google is starting to hide site-wides from now on, from the "public" interface. I did used to have 40.000 IBLs for www.webxperience.org Now, with the same links in place, i have 4370 You have a very nice content, unique, custom made software. Nothing to fear
For my main site G now shows 43 (only 12 before yesterday) links but I'm pretty sure it must be well over 100.
Wow, great find. Also take a look at some listings. If you see for example 20 PR 5, those 20 are not sorted alphabetically ... This probably means that they are sorted in the exact real time PR value!! 5.765, 5.6545, 5.2435 etc. In this way you can see the real time PR and see how strong the PR is! I was happy to see mine at the top of the list.
Thanks. Yea, I had more than 500 even before I started link building myself. Let's just hope all this shakes out well.
Looks like I did lose some from site-wide links, but there are more links showing now that are exchange or one-way. I am seeing some pr2 pages listed as backlinks... more from my own pages (expected) and some from posting here... Google directory did update, and it is a fairly good indicator of future pagerank, but the last time it showed me as a pr6, and the homepage ended up pr5, with an interior page as the pr6. I still show a pr6 in the directory, let's hope they get it right this time. Actual PR usually ends up within 1 of what the directory shows due to rounding off. Others in my category seem to have increased some...
@netmidwest: AFAIK the scales of PR are different in the directory and the TBPR ... I had similar situations that didn't match
Correct however you can open pages above and below yours then use the Google toolbar to see what the outdated rank is. If you are a PR3 but many PR5 are now below you, this would indicate you will likely become a PR5. Same thing holds true in reverse. Also I don’t think Google would let this game go on long before it updates the toolbar.
The second page of my Web Site Design Directory listings got the PR6... above and below me, PR 6 homepages. Something got messed up last time, my site is not the only one. I find it interesting that Google released the pre-jagger backlinks to HotBot... instead of the new ones. They were showing the jagger update backlink numbers.
My backlinks stayed the same even though i added my sites to lots of directories lately. Stupid backlink crap, at least i am still high in Yahoo and MSN...
None of mine doubled (although about 10 of them have changed) and sites launched in the last two weeks did not get any back links.
My back links are just over half of what they were last week. Also, when I get spidered it takes 4 days before it shows on the google toolbar. And I used to get spidered nearly every day but since the last update it is every two weeks. Anyone else noticing that?
