Hi, I manage a small design firm called K5 and we're presently looking for one or more talented web designers for occasional jobs in the near future. The main designs needed are WordPress themes (coded or not). Compensation: - between $50 and $150 per theme, depending on project. Requirements: - be able to show what you have done lately (be it a portfolio or links to what you've done) - be able to do the work FAST and WELL. Usual turnaround must be 24-48 hours tops. - be talented and have a good understanding of the branding process. Be able to do original, clean 2.0 designs (not copy others!). Neat examples of what you should be able to do or beat: http://www.cybersmusic.com/, http://forevergeek.com/. These themes are from designdisease. They rock. We don't need somebody to copy those, we want somebody who understands why they're neat and how to make even better designs. - understand how WordPress works enough NOT to design something impossible to code. Understand WordPress so that you know how to get the best out of it. Selected designers will be in pole position to receive future contracts so this is an offer for ongoing corporation and become part of the team. Students welcome, just be honest in your availability.
