Yeah It's always dissapointing to see one, because after you do, you feel that you cannot trust the article because the author will themself earn money if you sign up, therefore they might give a positive opinion of this money-making technique when actually it's a waste of time.

However, thinking about this further, if the refferal type is not just a one of payment for every signup, then you can assume that they will earn a percentage of what you earn. This means that the author will only gain if this system actually works.

And theres a summary of refferal links. Back to origional topic.

I have seen websites advertising huge payouts based on this principal before, and I don't see why it shouldnt work. However, with websites that have not been reccommended by either a friend or a trusted member or a forum such as Digital Point, there are various risks involved.

    1. The system is a fake and will never pay you (typical)

    2. The most concerning point may be that both your Digg & Stumble Upon accounts get banned because of either someone within the system being against it, or the website as a whole is affiliated with the Digg & Stumble Upon services.

Also, perhaps Digital Point isn't the best place to advertise this, because many of the members who use Stumble Upon and Digg have been banned due to the numerous Vote Exchanges that take place here, particularily with Digg :)

I was advised by DPers to do it! lol

I did these mega long guides:

A Guide To Making Money With A Video Blog

Getting dozens of high PR links per day

and I got told I was stoopid for not putting affiliate links in! Can't win with DPers! Never happy!! :(

Well, direct bank transfer... I don't see how it will prove anything though? If you don't want to use it. I don't care.... This is for people who want help, if you're so smart, you don't need it.

You do realize that it is not nice to lie to DP members ?

    From subvert:
It is 0.5$ for six stories !

I got emailed 3 times in a week to digg a whole list. so Max 1.5$ a week not 42$ and 80$ a year not 2000$, oh and BTW I didn't receive any money for digging I did!

    legal ?
    Digg TOS
    Example:
10 people come to subvert and profit as digg buyers They pay 100$ each so they can get to the first page ?

    1. Their stories will probably get deleted cos of 100 visitors from, dereferrer.com

    2. subvertandprofit will get 1000$ and since they have to pay 0.5/6 $ = 0.083$ a digg they'll spent 83$ to pay their users for 1000diggs. so they basicly get 91,7% of what the costumer is paying for diggs that you do ! But at the end you won't even get the money.

    Referall link...

DELETE THIS THREAD 'cos it's driving me mad !

PS Thefatterboy83 I still think you are the best poster around here, after all I do earn quite a lot of €€ 'cos of your video guide. This post Is well written but it is not telling the truth, the thing isn't legal...

Actually it's $0.50 for each 3 stories. You don't get emailed much because they spread the story load. I've referred over 100 people to S&P and get referral money every day. Just cos something is against a stupid site's TOS doesnt make it illegal by law. Get it right, son! thanks for the respek.

This is the last time I post a guide on DP cos of the shit I get.

I really don't understand the idea behind this. Why affiliate links are bad?
If he is a referral of a particular product or company, that means he believes that it's worth promoting for him too and for other's too or else he wouldn't have signup anyway.
And If a person refers us to a product (you can decide wether the product is good or bad yourself) shouldn't he get some credit for showing us the product. Take it as like sharing information and getting paid for it.
Why to keep a conservative attitude that if someone is earnng from this, it is bad. I am sure we could all take smart descision for ourself. :)

Because think about it, if they earn money when you sign up, then they'll want you to sign up. Therefore they might say the service is good when it isn't.

Could be. I, for one, only share what I've used and has worked well for me. My main objective is to help people and I love to see others start to break free from any job that they don't like. It's a matter of the person's integrity. It's like a friend telling another friend, "You should really try this toothpaste! It will make your teeth whiter!" It's the thrill of sharing a good thing with someone else to help them.

I don't see an issue with affiliate links inside a post. It's ultimately the person's decision who is clicking whether the service, software or business is legit. I would love people to take me up on what I say because I truly believe it will benefit them as much as it has me. If I make a commission along the way, great. The difference being that I will never promote anything only for the sake of making a buck. That, to me, is dishonest and lame.

I works damn well if you get people to sign up as referrals. I got over 100 now. So I basically don't have to do anything... If anyone argues that earning any amount of money for doing nothing is bad then, well.... Enjoy your job in mcdonalds.
