Your website and paying for visitors

Well, after a lengthy read about buying traffic in a nutshell I found:

    • Most are just fake / bot clicks
    • They rarely deliver the full amount
    • You may lose your Adsense account

What do you expect for prices like $10 or $20 for 100,000 visitors!?

So far I have (as a test really for myself) participated in about 5 schemes and the most they could deliver together in the 2-3rd day is.....132 visitors (lol)!!

Combined they promise over 200,000 visitors, I did not believe them so no need to call me gullable but I assumed they could reach at least 300/day.

I will keep the progress of this updated but in all honesty if you are on a tight budget just stick to a good idea and develop it over 6 months because these paid visitor schemes are quick fixes that just do not work. I may change my mind over the next month as it's early days, so I'll keep you guys updated on the results!

I would not use any paid advertising if you have adsense on your site.

Some paid search engine do work but you have to figure out what product to sell. If you do not make enough per sale it can cost more to advertise than you make.

Buying visitors is a waste of money and bandwith as most of users who will visit you will be virtual.

I used a traffic service once, and it did deliver the traffic, but it wasn't "real" traffic. Many times they simply display your site as a pop up or pop under and the user closes the window immediately. I wish there was a service that offered genuine targeted traffic for an affordable price.

Ok, for today I can confirm I had little to nothing from two sales made on here:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=370586

    and

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=370033

No responses or anything - I think there is no more to say on them two anymore. Forum member Talker pointed out a few things which were a bit helpful and he gave me a 1,000 visitors pack and delivered around 220 in the span of 3-4 hours. So that's some reviewing done.

    Now on for how I found it to be today;

After analysing the results I saw alot of visits from some sort of Japan location and it's doing the same visitors over and over so I am going to assume a bot or someone constantly visiting.

Then I saw temporary visits, I believe this is because the website was a pop under so no real visit.

Out of 315 total visits today 43 of them were UK and USA.

So, after today I made 45 cents in addition to the $3 over the last couple of days and it has cost me $20 in DP forum members selling traffic.

However, it is not worth it because 1) Google don't allow buying traffic and they can clearly see the referrals, just because the company is big does not mean they don't monitor everyone of us and 2) The $$ cost is not worth it, if you want some fast results just bother all your friends or try some mass email marketing and even then you won't get that much back.

I think the real reason it is so popular for people buying traffic is because they are inexperienced or just have wishful thinking.

Maybe it is early days but I'll see over the next 3 weeks.

I never bother to look at these "selling gazillion of unique traffic for 1$" threads.
It is all bullcrap. Here's a very simple example:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=351842

Read the whole thread. this guy offered 25 million visitors in 14 days for 2,000$.
Now two people in that thread (thread starter is one of them) are banned.

As a general rule of mine I never want to pay for anything. There are usually more legitimate or free ways to make the better traffic.
Although this may be slower its free and in the long run does the same effect.

I'm also skint which is a major factor.

There nice review. Do you have any more information regarding this because I enjoy reading it.

I can attest to the fact that I have NEVER received a sale from traffic that I paid for. It was a good lesson for me to learn.

I think you need to distinguish between junk traffic and decent traffic better. You do a pretty good job, but remember, you're paying for visitors on Google Adwords.

I would never buy "visitors" from any of these sites. If they truly could deliver the kind of traffic that they promise, they would be directing it to their own sites.

I have screwed around with this on a few occasions and also agree that out of x,xxx clicks or visits to my site. Not a single purchase made or good conversion. Totally useless.

I used to buy traffic when I didn't know any better. Buying traffic is basically junk and doesn't help you in any way. It's better to pay for people to visit your site and do something, like add content.

After another review today I received 350 visitors and 30 were USA. Received 1 adsense click and the referrals were from the three same websites, I still feel that I am in danger with Google and that as an investment of time and money, traffic buying is not the way unless you don't use adsense and have selected content.

This is exactly what I have been thinking for years now. That is why I eventually said "thats enough!" and I have started building LeadsByVideo.com

I envisaged a system that would deliver quality not quantity, and would be equally available and effecient whether you're cash poor or time poor.

We expect to launch in about 8 -10 weeks and aim to deliver website visitors of the highest possible quality. We do this by using video infomercials to educate and pre-qualify our video viewers about your offer.

The latest entry in the blog details exactly Why LBV can and will deliver you the highest quality targeted traffic available online.

Wasting your time on such paid traffic is really not good for your sites health. I'd suggest you use your finances more intelligently via Google Adwords.

If Google had the option of taking payments through Paypal or even its own ecommerce checkout site they would probably get a huge amount more of clients.

I really don't like using credit or debit cards online for PPC purchases.
