DP member has stolen $1,560 from me!

On April 29, I paid "pth ona" (remove blank space) $1,560 for a 1-year link on a PR8 page. To make a long story short, he never posted the link. I endured 2 weeks of excuses as to why it hadn't been posted yet.

Finally, on the morning of May 14, my patience expired. I sent him a PM demanding a refund. It's 4 days later, and I'm still out $1,560. He is now blatantly ignoring my PMs.

What recourse is available to me from DP?

heh, the stupid one in this case is you if you've really paid that much money!

if you really need high pr site linking to you pay monthly and always after the service is done!

Ummm. Not what I wanted to hear because I bought a WordPress sponsorship from him a couple of days ago. He hasn't been online since then. He has quite good iTrader.

Yeah, paying that much money to some forum user is not smart, but probably you can make a chargeback/reverse.

I trader can EASILY be manipulated with 25,000+ active members. What is 150 postive??

I noticed he was selling lots of links and I feel for ya I got burned as well not from him but recently NO WHERE NEAR what you did but it hurst. I really sincerely hope you get that $ back.

Lesson for everyone: Pay on a monthly basis!!

Not sure if people will let you pay AFTER the month but if you lose 30-80$ it's better than the above.

    BEST OF LUCK!

It's strange, because has a good iTrader rating: +70 positives and no negative.
Try to post on thread where he was offering that PR8 links. But for now I don't recommend to leave him a negative iTrader, usually that way starts a negative iTrader war, and probably you'll get a negative iTrader from him too.

From DP? None, mabey, albeit mabey he might be banned but that doesn't get your money back, nor prevent him from running the same scam again.

    PayPal? Dispute online
    Credit Card? Dispute IN WRITING!

    Thanks for the input, everyone.

The price for a year was much better than monthly. The reason I trusted him is because he DOES have an excellent iTrader rating, and I had done a much smaller transaction with him previously.

There's a principle here. Yes, I can do a PayPal chargeback, but I think I also deserve the 4.7% interest I've lost over the last 19 days. That's the least he can do for wasting my time and stressing me out.

I also think it's wrong that I feel as though I can't leave a negative because he can return a negative to me just for revenge.

If he negatives you in revenge you report it - that's iTrader abuse plain and simple.

Exactly. He knows that I want a refund, and he has consciously chosen not to provide it.

Ouch. There are so many of these lately. Why aren't people doing their research, and looking at iTrade reps?

Is there a reason..Why? You haven't open a paypal dispute.. with that much money I would have open the dispute on the second day. You deserve the right to have the link up on the same day.
