    Hi,

5 months ago I bought a site from Sundaybrew and today he is threatening me for something I specifically asked.

To resolve this issue I would like access to the PM's send on 18dec06 regarding this thread.

Please let me know if this is possible.

    Thanks.

If you have deleted the message then there is no way you can get it back.

Dude, I am not threating you ,

I ask nicely for you to buy the vb license for the site I sold you and you said you would and now I am being threatened BY VB,

You are running Illegal software and refuse to validate it or remove it,

I asked nicely 4 times, and you told me basically "screw you"

Everyone can see this thread --->>http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=332287

    Hello,

It has come to our attention that your copy of vBulletin is being used on multiple sites illegally. As per the license agreement each license permits you to run a single installation of the software. Your license (VBF18B71E9) is currently powering forums on the following sites:

    http://forum.gamingmaxx.com/

These sites must be removed, or be powered by their own license within 28 days or you risk your license being permanently revoked. In this eventuality, appropriate action may be taken by our copyright enforcement agency in accordance with DMCA rules.

You can view the license agreement at:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/order/license_agreement.php

    All the best,
    Marco van Herwaarden

To quote you literally before I bought the site and asked about the VB license. "You can do whatever you want with the (VB) software, it is entirely up to you to use it the way it is or buy/lease a license".

I asked this question specifically to make sure this kind of situation wouldn't occur.

The only solution for you to resolve the issue with VB in order for them to not shut you down is buy/lease the license yourself or give me the money. If you do that I will buy/lease the license.

    Paul

p.s. oh, one more thing... Don't threaten me for a screw up you made, that is just not done.

YOU MUST either buy a license or remove the forum at once,

I am giving you one more hour, before I leave negative feedback, contact your host, contact the domain register, contact icann , and contact vb again to let them know you are not doing what is supposed to be done

The thing is that I don't want to spend the money on a license right now and if VB has a problem with that they should contact me and not you.

As for me shutting down the forum, I don't really feel like doing that either.

I'm sorry about that, but at the moment I will keep the forum where it is.

The forum you are running requires a VB license,

That was not included in the sale,

Vb has contacted me and threatened to sue me if you do not buy a licensed copy of there software or a leased copy,

So please either buy a copy of there license or remove the forum,

This needs to be done in 24 hours, they are super pissed threating to shut down my whole account with them and I own several forums,

I was unaware at the time , that I was not supposed to give you the actual files.

    I await your positive response

If we're taking sides, I'm with sundaybrew - you should look into licensing issues prior to using software and If I know that vb needs a license, then probably everyone does.

Your I don't give a crap attitude is shining brightly - after the first message from Joe you didn't say "that wasn't the deal" you said 'no' .

Just buy a licensed software and there'd be no more problems. Simple as that.
