Do you use your buddy list? Who's in it?

Actually, yes I am very nervous. I don't like the idea ofsomething cutting open my eye, I've watched the surgery on tv. I feel though that I really need it done. My vision causes me a lot of headaches literally and I would love to have 20/20 again. I will definitely choose a doctor with lots of recommendations.

 

The best clinic in your area is in Cleveland, it is called the Cleveland Clinic.

One of the best in the world, PERIOD.

Yes it is in Cleveland, Ohio, about a half hour flight from Toronto, hell you could drive into Cleveland and stay a couple weeks in a hotel if you had to.

If you do not want to go to Cleveland, call Cleveland Clinic on the phone and ask them to refer you to some doctors in Toronto.

They will give you some help in that way I am sure if you bug them enough.

To return this thread to it's original theme, I'd like to say that I find the Ignore List invaluable. When I put Anthony on it it drove him so wild that he left the forum a few days later. Now I've put Minstrel on it and the forum is much more pleasant for me.

I admit that I have problems just ignoring obnoxious, annoying people. If I can read their posts I don't seem to be able to resist responding. Apparently this upsets many of the other members of the forum. But since I put Minstrel on my ignore list I cannot read his annoying conceited crap and life is much more enjoyable. I'm sure this relevation will upset somebody, but at least I'm not tempted or goaded into replying to him on a daily basis.

 

Too funny, the 2 you have mentioned are the only ones to ever make it onto my ignore list as well Coming to think of it, I need to put Minnie back on it since all he ever does is repeat the same old, same old

Bob, I have seen from reading your posts that you are one of the most emotionally mature and straight-forward members of this forum. You appear to be professional, knowledgeable and not given to hostile game-playing or backstabbing. I should probably be wearing my full-body armor now as I'm sure the slings and arrows will start flying in my direction in the form of "bad reps" - but oh, well........... I refuse to temper my opinion to suit other people and their buddies.

BTW, I do not use an ignore or buddy list.

But I honestly cannot see why people have a problem with Minnie, though. He is a really cool, knowledgable, fun, quick witted guy. You just have to get used to his forum style.

Nearly all of Minstrels heated arguments (especially with ST) are in DMOZ threads. If you didn't read that part of the forum, you would have a different view.

I avoided DMOZ threads for months and didn't know why ST and Minstrel would post things like "Don't listen to him" etc in General Chat or other SEO sections

I read through those DMOZ posts then understood where it was coming from

I understand, but I have never read any of the DMOZ stuff.

Maybe it is my own conceit, but I feel that Minnie follows me around and if I say white he says black. And of course he says it in his superior, arrogant way. Now Mella apparently thinks this is all just a cool and clever style, but I find it insulting and wearing.

Of course the fact that I react to his barbs makes me an ideal target so to remove myself from his target list I have simply decided not to ever read his posts again -- I doubt that I will really miss much -- by putting him on my ignore list.

 

I honestly don't know why Minstrel (its funny you called him Minnie) has issues with you. I think that all started before I started posting a lot here.

I can only comment on his fued with ST and a few others.

I like both you guys so hopefully you both continue to post.
