[FAQ] How to search/locate a User and its Profile at DP

Hello all,
Today I was looking for some users id and profile link here at dp, but could not find anything using search about how to find a user on dp so decided to write this small tutorial (its all graphical based and self explanatory).

Step 1. Go to Advanced Search Feature .





Step 2: Enter the possible users id's first 3 letters(make a guess if u do not remember even that) into the search box as shown in figure.





Step 3 : Click Search Now to locate users posts (well if user has not posted on dp, than its quite disturbing so i am assuming everyone has posted atleast once on dp)





[B]Step 4 :[/B] Just click on the user name and you will get your profile link for that user. Comes handy for webmasters looking for users who have a profile with pagerank (mine is pr 2 if anyone is wondering (the cute pink guy with tongue our goes here)).





Step Last : Hit the reputation button for this post and send some greenie this way (this step is optional(aka not necessary)and user shall be awarded in a similar manner).

I normally go to forums.digitalpoint.com/memberlist.php then click "Search Members"

 

Here you go sweetfunny a graphical tutorial on your alternate method of search, do note that memeberlist.php link does not exists on main forum page of DP, so noobs do not know about that link, it can be accesible by selecting "Members List" from the "Quick Links" menu.

Step 1: Select Advanced Search Option.

Once that is done select username and hit enter and you will get the users profile link .

I heard from few members that it took them years to figure out(lol after a year i posted this so i was one of them,yes yes pretty dumb i am) how to search for a member, hopefully now it will take them just few mins for new members who do not know or have worked with Vbulletin before.
